Project Summary

Our project: “EFFECTIVE EDUCATION, BETTER FUTURE” was interdisciplinary and touched many aspects. It refered to foreign languages, new technologies and entrepreneurship. It gave our students the opportunity to use and broaden their knowledge and, above all, key competences that are essential in further education and the contemporary job market. During the project, participants learnt effective learning strategies (especially foreign languages), developed self-presentation skills, learnt to write such documents as:CV, CV, business plan, advertisement. But they also created a glossary of the most useful phrases in the languages of their partners and improved their knowledge of English and Russian for business phrases and vocabulary. Undoubtedly, they also learnt how to deal with stress.
In our project we emphasised the importance of cooperation between project participants not only during design or organizational meetings, but also through social media or eTwinning platforms.
Students learnt to collaborate in multinational groups. Other important social skills for young people in Europe, such as tolerance or equality between women and men, were learnet as well. We also wanted to indicate the importance of pluralism. It allowed to shape the skills of presentation, communication, and mobility (for example, on getting a job) of people living in the European Union.
The main goals of the project were:
– effective and attractive teaching of foreign languages (especially Russian and English)
– increased use of new technologies to help teach and learn

– promoting entrepreneurship attitudes
In addition, we also met the following identified needs of our students:
– increasing motivation to learn
-
effective use of new technologies to improve their language skills

– increasing motivation to look for work (in the future, after graduation)

– increase students’ self-confidence

- higher professional and personal aspirations

- developing intercultural competences based on acceptance,
-openness and tolerance
- breaking stereotypes

– learn the host country’s history, culture and language

– raising the level of self-assessment

– improving the self-presentation

- increased autonomy

We hope that the actions we proposed (broadly described in this proposal) brought positive and long-term effects on students, teachers and schools participating in the project. They affected not only students, but also (as a result of planned dissemination activities) other groups of consumers (parents, teachers of other schools, officials involved in educational policy, local journalists). The implementation of this project means EFFECTIVE EDUCATION AND A BETTER FUTURE for all partners participating in it.
