Project Summary

This 30 month Project is promoted by 4 European high schools, for a total of 4 countries (Italy, Greece, Spain and Netherlands).
The participants and target groups (students from 15 to 16 years old – with particular attention to economically, culturally and socially disadvantaged students – teachers and technical staff) want to focus on the potential of strategic partnerships for an innovative and active cooperation and exchange of good practices, using the English language, and having as main focus
digital skills.
Thus, the most relevant priorities addressed by GEW are the following ones:
1. Open and innovative practices in a digital era;
2. Promoting entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship among young people;
3. Social inclusion.
The Partner Schools will achieve the following important objectives:
– Stimulate in-class discussions and engage teamwork among the students;
– Stimulate entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship;
– Students are introduced to current topics in enterprise information technology, such as cloud-based software services, business-to-business systems and integration techiniques for system implementation;
– Students acquire values, knowledge, skills and qualifications they need to succeed in adult life;
– Knowledge of new hardware, software, networking devices and how to use them;
– Promote learning, track progress and develop strategies for ensuring the progress of individual students;
– Promote social inclusion and social rights (dignity, freedom, equality, solidarity) especially for young students with fewer possibilies;
– Encourage new and active forms of civic and democratic engagement in society;
– Encourage the use of technical digital language, using the English language, as a tool to gather people coming from different European countries;
– Signature of a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement among the Partner Schools at the end of the Project.
GEW will involve, and thus have impact on direct target groups (18 students, 3 teachers/technical staff per school and 4 digital/social enterprises) and on about 27.000 indirect participants (families of the students, local and national istitutions and the whole citizenship) reached through www.gewproject.eu, the GEW App, the eTwinning platform and the main social networks.
Its main actions are the following:
– Production and lauch of the official Project web platform;
– Project launch through the website (live streaming event);
– 4 Transnational Staff Meetings abroad (with 1 day of digital training);
– 4 Study Trips abroad with students and teachers (each one of 7 days);
– Production of the “Final Guidelines/Manual of Good Practices on digital entrepreneurial skills”.
These actions are expected to bring positive and long lasting effects on the participating Schools, on the persons directly and indirectly involved in the planned activities and on their respective territories and to involve them will be used bottom-up methodologies and informal education techniques.
The attained results are:
– Improved digital skills among young people;
– Promotion of entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship among young people;
– Active collaboration among the Partners;
– Social inclusion and equal involvement of all the target groups, with particular attention to participants facing economic obstacles, cultural differences and social obstacles;
– Improvement of the English language;
– Development of creativity and innovation;
– Final Guidelines of Good Practices on digital entrepreneurial skills;
– Signature of the Friendship and Cooperation Agreement;
– Setting up of a future project proposal involving also other European Countries.
