Project Summary

The project “Gamification in Balkans” was implemented by CET Platform Montenegro in cooperation with organisations from Programme and Western Balkans countries, including several organizations of CET Platform network. The project was designed to develop operational capacities of engaged organizations by learning innovative methods of youth social activation. The project explored gamification as a method of youth work, designed to engage youth in solving problems of their local communities. Social engagement of youth have leveraged youth position in their local communities, and thus prevented social and economic exclusion. Youth workers and youth leaders have discussed ways of engaging youth for taking actions for their communities, exchange good practices and discuss possible boundaries of engaging young people in social actions. Participants have learnt principles of gamification – methodology of social engagement using elements of game mechanics and developed methods of using the knowledge and skills in youth work. The project included Training Course from 18/04/2017 until 25/04/2017 in Becici, Montenegro that involved youth workers from all partner organisations. After the Training Course participants implemented local, national and international low cost activities, and developed gamification as a tool. Final part of the project was an evaluation meeting from 11/09/2017 until 16/09/2017, which was aimed to summarize all work, results, competences, knowledge and ensure sustainable activities and dissemination of project results. Mobility activities were based on non-formal education methods, including brainstorming, discussions, debates, simulation games, work in small groups, presentations, theatre and other methods.
