Project Summary
Our project 21st century EARTH guardians was designed to promote the importance of environmental protection with a special emphasis on the protection of aquatic ecosystems to which our three countries, Romania, Serbia and Italy, and our three cities have been enriched. Our goal was to discover new methods and ways of working with students of our schools, in order to point to this problem that we encounter daily. Two teachers from each country would participate in mobility with five students, when activities will be organized, with the implementation of Lab camps. First of all, at the first meeting, two professors from every country will come to Serbia, where they would discuss in detail the activities and ways of preparing the Lab camp. Through interesting activities and the organization of Lab Camps, students would have a clearer approach to this topic and would pay more attention to the environment. Students would become nature guardians, as well as peer educators, who would further spread their knowledge. Teachers of this project would show new ways and methods of working with students, and how to enrich their practical work. Schools would expand their acquaintances and become partners with whom they could continue to cooperate and exchange ideas and experiences. The school would spread tolerance and continue to nurture interculturality. At the end of the realization of all mobilities, we will prepare results about the state of the environment and aquatic ecosystems in our country, ie in Italy, Romania and Serbia. We will present the results on the school website, the presentations that we organize for the public, and the development of a teacher handbook on how to build a Lab camp for students.
