Project Summary
The VITIMOB project is the result of more than fifteen years of reflection and exchanges between professionals in the vine sector (winegrowers, representatives of the professional branch), training sector (certification and trainers) and support for people with specific needs or low levels of qualification.
From September 2017 to the end of August 2019, 7 partners from 5 European countries (Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia), training organisations and social enterprises, set themselves the objective of implementing progressive training and career pathways, recognised at the partnership level, thanks to the development of tools, and leading to employability and mobility of the target groups.
The creation of a common job profile, meeting the needs of employers, with the objective of supporting career paths regardless of the type of training (formal, informal, non-formal), is one of the major results of this project. It is complemented by an occupational standard designed around level 3 of the European Qualifications Framework – according to the ECVET principle of recognition of learning outcomes and professional competences – and by teaching and didactic methods and tools.
Transparency, in particular through the co-construction of a common glossary, and the quality process that prevailed during the project have been a guarantee of success. These elements have made it possible and will make it possible to have an impact on target groups and territories.
To achieve their objectives, VITIMOB partners, pivotal points in each of their territories, were in charge of leading local clusters working on the co-construction of tools to facilitate inclusion and promote employment in the wine sector and equal opportunities. The main challenge was to guarantee coherence between the tools at the partnership level but also transparency both in professional recognition at the European level and with regard to the learning modality (formal, information, non-formal training).
In 24 months, the VITIMOB programme produced the expected results thanks to a co-construction, cultural openness and curiosity of all actors. Once the global framework was formalised, each country addressed the issue in its cluster and introduced new inputs into the partnership during transnational meetings.
The outputs developed were tested in working situations in partnership organisations with their target groups, as well as during European mobilities (3 in total). Learners, people with special needs, and tutor-trainers were therefore able to evaluate the use of the tools, which were adjusted and modified according to feedback and needs. 100 learners and around 20 tutors-trainers have been involved.
Once these adjustments had been made, the intellectual outputs and tools developed were disseminated in each partner countries. The participation of learners contributed significantly to the success of the dissemination seminars.
These events made it possible to measure the results with local partners and to note the immediate and future impacts in each country:
– In each partner country, the process of official recognition of the VITIMOB job profile has started, in cooperation with legitimate authorities.
– The methodology developed will be used by other organisations and will serve as a basis for a new training project in the wine sector in the Apulia Region of Italy.
– A Training Organization is being created in Spain.
– New jobs have been created in France, and will be created in the coming months in Slovenia, and the teaching tools have already been used by seasonal workers in France and Italy.
The sustainability of the system is ensured by the incorporation of approaches and tools into the common law of several of the countries involved and by the commitment of the organizations to continue to improve the tools.
