Project Summary

The Erasmus The way of Cuture project has involved two institutions, ADN Centro Educativo and Newtown School, for 36 months. The main activities that arose mainly in the project were six long-term mobility flows (2 months and 1 day) at a rate of three flows per institution. In fact, the maximum number of participating students proposed in the application was two per flow and in mobility C4, four students were able to participate, two of which were free. The first three activities C1, C2 and C4 have been successfully carried out. Activity C3 was planned and managed to carry out, however at that time a state of alarm was declared in both countries. The subsequent activities C5 and C6 could not be carried out due to the recommendation of the different state and regional educational authorities.
ADN Centro Educativo has extensive experience in student exchange projects (KA 219) and teacher training (KA101), and also in previous Comenius projects, so within its school context, work and internationalization with students is very important. internalized. Like Newtown School Waterford that has successfully carried out different private exchanges with its students in different countries.
The objectives that were raised in the project application and have been carried out in the life of the project are:
Improvement of the level of English and Spanish proficiency of the students who participate in the mobilities, since both schools have these subjects in their study plans.
Extensive knowledge of the educational system that both countries offer their students and the possibility of attending bilingual classes.
Recognition and certification of the different study plans adapted to the scholarship holders in each country.
Greater knowledge of the extracurricular activities that both schools offer their students, such as: robotics, sports, judo, pastoral, music, performing arts, singing.
Cultural enrichment and social inclusion of all students who carry out long-term mobility and those students who indirectly participate in the project.
Development of basic skills, practices, knowledge, motivation, ethical values, attitudes, emotions and other social components.
Finally, both institutions have obtained achievements such as improving the language skills (English-Spanish) in the participating students, knowing more about the curriculum of both, inquiring about the customs and cultures of both contexts and developing basic skills, among others.
