Project Summary
Today digital skills takes an important process in every aspect of the individual and social life of the citizen of the knowledge society, which favors the diffusion of the critical and conscious use of ICT (Information and Comucatin Technologies) in every context.
Therefore “The school can and must also be the means for an incisive and widespread action of” digital contagion “that involves large sections of the population, with the need to invest on the digital school model and on a radical change in learning environments. ”
Our students are “digital natives”, the school that educates them, trying to amplify the potential inherent in everyone, instead complains of a strong delay in the use of multimedia technologies and teaching media, revealing a worrying disparity between the current teaching methods and those of learning.
Digital teaching offers teachers active teaching strategies, able to enhance the participation of the learner and put it to the test in a more “real” environment, consequently digital content such as learning objetcs, digital sharing platforms, edutainment practices must become tools of a systematic experience. Therefore, continuous digital education is the most effective way to make students active, critical and aware citizens, as well as more competitive subjects, in a society that makes information and knowledge its founding pillars.
It is hoped that within the project teachers and students can experience concrete situations, share the chosen formal content and transfer knowledge, skills and competences acquired in the field, making them operational.
General objectives:
● contribute to the construction of digital skills
● carry out activities aimed at developing the digital skills of students and educators
● introduce new technologies in schools
● spread the idea of lifelong learning
● contribute to the DIGCOMP framework
● contribute to the digital curriculum
● develop and strengthen social skills appropriate to real and virtual interactions.
● spread the use of new technologies to support educational actions and learning activities.
● increase the level of motivation and interest in the essential knowledge of the disciplines studied.
For the development of the proposed paths are used:
1. Workshops organized as Discussion and Construction and carried out during the school year
2. Laboratories
The activities proposed in this project will give the opportunity to the students and to the partecipants(teachers, headmasters) to practice the following activities will be done in a diffrent country. The project will cover the following activities:
1)Use of Virtual Classroom
2)Use and use of good practices (Google drive / Google apps for Education / Microsoft Education).
3)Use of e-learning platforms
4)Use innovative educational apps (Kahoot-Prezi-Padlet-etc.)
5)Introduction to the robotics
6)Development of computational thinking through coding (Scrath- Program the future)
It is our primary concern to choose the partners from totally different cultures. Thus, different cultures will be seen during the project and this will exchange the different approaches to same problem.
The partners are from four different countries, to sum up their properties:
Firstly, the I.C.Federico II di Svevia in Italy has many teachers that use different apps such as kahoot, quizziz, padlet. learning diary, open source or windows applications to realize motivating and engaging activities for the students of the three school segments.
Moreover, often in the national / international days / weeks dedicated to Coding, a series of activities of introduction to coding and computational thinking are carried out in the form of events, involving all pupils, large and small, with a fun and playful approach.Among the extracurricular activities of our school there are several projects dedicated to ICT and the development of computational thinking.
The other partner, Osmangazi Ilkokulu use Student-Centered Method, Active Learning, Multiple Intelligence Theory, Cooperative Learning Method etc. during the lessons. Also product which is made by students is very important long term learning so classroom atmosphere improve education.
Their teachers have experiences create stop motion animation films, web 2.0 tools. Their teachers participate in various courses on student-centered educational techniques, creative minds. They are preparing students for future.
The IV Osnovno uchilishte “Dimcho Debelyanov” in Bulgaria, with this Strengths:
– a very good base for school equipment and modern multimedia.
– highly qualified pedagogical team
– interest in improving the qualification
The Szkola Podstawowa nr 1 im. Kornela Makuszynskiego w Markach in Poland want to combine technology with language, they mentioned they took part in e-twinning training about coding and we practised with their students different offline activities to prepare them for more complicated coding tasks. It was a great fun.
