Project Summary
“Together to support the future of school development ”
The Erasmus + 2018-2020 project is bringing together the following partners:
– Service de Coordination de la Recherche et de l’Innovation pédagogiques et technologiques (SCRIPT) , ministère de l’Éducation nationale, de l’Enfance et de la Jeunesse, Luxembourg
– Direction Education et culture, La Ligue de l’enseignement, France
– Canopé, Le réseau de création et d’accompagnement pédagogiques, France
– Pädagogisches Landesinstitut Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany
“Learning teachers lead to successful students.”
International research results identify the professional development of teachers, the networking of educational units, openness to partnership and the assuming of responsibility by the concerned actors as decisive factors in the improvement of schools, allowing to respond effectively to the needs and expectations of young people, the demands of society and new scientific and technological knowledge. The needs of the teams are important and still insufficiently taken into account by the institutions of the three involved countries. The training of the people supervising the partner organisations and the 170 experts and coaches in their respective teams is the main purpose of this European initiative.
The project could be likened to a “professional travel agency”, that is to say that the four bodies cooperate to create the conditions, the modalities and the opportunities for sharing and pooling the personnel of the concerned countries around the questions regarding school development and support of local teams. This system aims to strengthen the collective competence of each of the educational eco-systems to support the teams in the school improvement dynamic, by sharing the agendas and resources, by taking advantage of the complementary expertise convened, by making the training accessible and by promoting meetings.
The “professional travelling” realized during the different project activities of this Erasmus+ programme entitled SENSED has given the opportunity to the participants to deepen the central themes related to the professional development, the development of schools and permitted to go further in an participative and co-constructive way togehter with the leaders of the project:
– the school form and the spatial planning
– collaborative work in schools (concepts, forms, methods, …)
– participation and education for democracy: elements of school development
– shared leadership
Around these key themes, a multitude of activities have been carried out despite the COVID crisis which has clearly impacted the project, but which has not prevented the project actors from innovating in the forms and formats of interaction and sharing in order to set up a network of contact and exchange which functions well beyond the framework of the SENSED project.
