Project Summary
MY EARTH is a project that aims to establish a dynamic network of kick off meeting study visits, job shadowing, youth exchange, evaluation seminar between 3 European and 3 Latin American partners, promote entrepreneurship based on ecotourism and non-traditional sports, with emphasis on social entrepreneurship and circular economy, through quality training and technical coaching to youthworkers that improve youth opportunities to initiate or strengthen the capacities for work or self-employment. This network will share its best practices among itself, within the organizations and among the local communities. The short period Youth Exchanges (7 days) , study visits (5 days) and job shadowing (10 days) is intended to accommodate the needs of young people who are looking for jobs and also youth workers who are looking for experience in that approach to economy. European partners will be contributing by their long experience in youth work and solidaire toursim.Partner Countries:• From South America: Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay.• From Europe: Hungary, Portugal and France.Aim: Developing a platform for the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through the import and activation of the social and solidarity toursim model, and fostering their mobility and employability within youth work in a sustainable way.Objectives:1. Develop the competences of youth workers to upscale their work with youth in matters related to social tourism.2. Empower young people with fewer opportunities and support their mobility and employability.3. Sharing best practices learned throughout the project on organizational, local and transnational levels.4. Support youth vocational education and entrepreneurship learning.Activity Steps:1. Kick-off meeting in France2. Study visits in Portugal and in Hungary on 5-5 days programs3. Sending 9 youth workers from Europe and 9 from South America on 10-day job shadowing programs.4. Sending 12 young people from Europe and 12 from Latin America on 7 days youth exchange programs.5. Evaluation Seminar organized by the youth workers in the aftermath of their study visits, job shadowing , youth exchange for making recommendations for creating inclusion practices.6. Developing 4 newsletters after each main part of the project.7. Developing a training manual that tackles the crisis of youth unemployment through introducing social and solidarity tourism.Desired Impact:We expect this project to positively influence the employability and mobility of youth with fewer opportunities and raise the caliber of youth workers, not only within the partner organizations, but in much wider networks after the dissemination of results, videos and recommendations, and open-sourcing the training manual.
