Project Summary

Entrepreneurship is an absolute “must-have” skill in now days tech-dominated world. However one of the struggles is that, usually it is started to teach quite late, not in the early age, when mind-set is being formed and schools should produce kids who tinker, make, experiment, collaborate, question, and embrace failure as an opportunity to learn. And schools must be staffed with passionate teachers who are not just prepared to foster creativity, perseverance, and empathy, but are responsible for ensuring kids develop these skills.

Another important aspect, that the project will take into account is training teachers to be a good entrepreneurship teachers. They have a central role, as they have a strong impact on the attainment of kids. As a key competence, entrepreneurship does not necessarily involve a specific school subject, it rather requires a way of teaching in which experiential learning and project work have a main role. To inspire kids and to help them develop an enterprising attitude, teachers need a wide range of competences related to creativity and entrepreneurship.

The OBJECTIVES of the project are:
1) Development and implementation of innovative practices of teaching Entrepreneurship for children starting from age of 5 years.
2) Increase sense of initiative and entrepreneurship among children starting from age of 5 years.

Main DIRECT results of the project:
1) Developed KIDpreneurship module for 5-7 year old kids
2) Developed KIDpreneurship module for 8-10 year old kids
3) Developed mentoring methodology and e-learning course module for teachers
4) Developed network of teachers and organisations who teach KIDpreneurship

DIRECT target groups of the project:
1) Kids – Pre-school and preliminary school pupils age 5 to 10 years old
2) Teachers of Pre-School and preliminary school pupils

INDIRECT target groups of the project are:
1) Parents of all kids that will be involved in the project
1) Society in general.

Partners of the consortium are:
1) Organisations that have experience in educational content development for kids of age 5 to 10 years
2) Organisations that are schools or kindergardens or that have exit to them (making the test platform of developed material)
3) Organisations that have entrepreneurial experience.

The project will have one learning activity, that will be focused on training the teachers of partner schools, who will afterwards be responsible of the KIDpreneurship course in the organisation.
Training teachers to be a good entrepreneurship teachers is very important for the whole success of the project idea.

In order to better exploit the results of the project, 6 Multiplier events will be organised. These events will target teachers of schools, their pupils and their parents.

The project will put high emphasis on exploitation of project results.
The results themselves, have been planned in a way that they are very easy to exploit. KIDpreneurship courses will be developed for two different age groups, taking into account their specific needs capabilities. E-learning mentoring course and KIDpreneurship network, that are digital tools, can be easily published on any webpage, sent via e-mail, shared on social media, etc. There are no resource demanding restrictions to share the results with anyone interested. KIDpreneurship course materials as well will be developed in digital format, e.g. e-book or pdf file, in order to ease their share-ability.
