Project Summary
The OECD – The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, has detected an overqualification of a good percentage of employees for jobs they flaunt. This high educational level does not ensure that these workers have the basic and specific skills necessary in this new environment and work environment. The OECD in its 2019 employment report states that the world of work is changing to respond to technological progress, globalization and the populations that they age. Furthermore, new business organizational models and changing worker preferences contribute to the emergence of new forms of work. Despite the general feeling of anxiety about the potential destruction of jobs due to technological changes and globalization, it seems unlikely that there is an abrupt decrease in employment in general. While it is true that some jobs and tasks are disappearing, there are others that are emerging and employment is growing. One of the main challenges in the face of these transformations is to manage the transition of workers in declining industries and regions towards new job opportunities and train new workers to adapt and evolve with these changes.
OBJECTIVES:
The general objective (OG) of the project is to develop entrepreneurship and digital skills in Higher Education students through the educational implementation of an educational project.
To achieve this, the following Specific Objectives (OE) are proposed:
SO1- Developing entrepreneurial skills in European Higher Education students.
OE2- Develop digital skills in European Higher Education students.
OE3- Train Higher Education teachers and trainers in the use of EntreComp and DigComp in order to teach entrepreneurship and innovation skills to their students.
OE4- Train Higher Education teachers and trainers on the organization of HACKATHON events as tools to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
OE5- Promote the participation of Higher Education students in a project at European level that results in an improvement in their social skills: communication, self-esteem, participation, teamwork, assertiveness, language skills and social awareness through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
SO6- Promote cooperation between the public administration, associations, companies and educational centers at national and European level.
SO7: Share good practices developed between partners and participating countries.
SO8- Disseminate results and tools among higher education teachers, educational centers, teacher training centers, informal organizations, institutions, municipalities and companies, promoting the development of the prototypes created to develop them as final solutions (products or services), putting them in contact and collaborating with other possible sources of financing.
SO9 – Promote the development of the prototypes created by connecting the creators with other possible sources of financing.
ADDRESSED NEEDS:
Today’s students have to develop new skills demanded by the labor market in which, in general, they are not trained in educational centers traditional. Thus they have a need for training in entrepreneurship and digital skills that is not covered in their usual environment. In the same way we work the 8 lifelong learning competencies that are key in the Erasmus + program. On the other hand, we address the need to enhance citizenship awareness European and participation as European citizens.
Regarding Higher Education teachers, we also cover the need to create networks with colleagues from other countries, so that they can develop more professionally and improve their techniques, procedures and expand their working methodologies.
TARGET GROUPS:
– Higher Education students from at least four countries of the European Union.
– Higher Education teachers from at least four countries of the European Union.
The project must be approached transnationally, since the specific needs and societies of each country are different and this provides us with a better scenario. Many of the skills that we will work with young people are best developed in an international environment and together with young people from other countries, such as: identify opportunities at different levels (EntreComp competence 1.1), creativity (with perspectives from other worldviews and societies to increase, competence EntreComp 1.2), mobilize others (grow your network of friends and contacts, EntreComp competition 2.5) or face uncertainty, ambiguity and risks (competence 3.2)
