Project Summary

Our project is the result of collaborative work of five partner shools, from Romania, Portugal, Lithuania, Spain and Turkey who have previously worked together and know the weknesses of their schools. Since all partners deal with low interest, learning difficulties, multicultural classes, social interruption students, agressivity , health issues and lack of family support we have created this project to provide solution activities that can lead to our schools improvement. Developping arts and IT creative activities we want to support our students to embrace diversity and accept the differences and to sustain our teachers` professional development by means of creativity.
Through this project we want to:
1. Raise the interest and involvement of 500 students aged 10-16 in learning activities by means of arts and IT .
By the end of the project every student will have read 4 books, will have researched and developed by artistic/ artistic +digital means activities corresponding to 4 topics inspired by the 4 books.
2. Create an inclusive and supportive environment in the involved classes of our schools by embracing social, financial, health, religious, ethnic, learning differences. The activities within our project are flexible and various providing possibilities for each student to choose what is most suitable, thus finding what is most appropiate to their needs and creating an inclusive environment.
3. Decrease the absenteesism in our participating classes by 10% by the end of the first year and another 10% by the end of the second year of the project.
By engaging our students in creative arts and IT activities we intend to raise their active participation and increase their interest in learning, thus preventing absenteeism and school drop out.
4. Support and enhance 45 teachers` professional development by means of ICT incorporation.
Since this project uploads all its materials on eTwinning and embeds online participation it will enhance teachers` professional development by means of European communication and exchange of good practices.
Our students will learn to work in international teams, to cooperate, will design and create books, will write articles, will make video trailers, design digital leaflets and posters, express emotions and identity through music, dance, painting or drama.
