Project Summary
The Project “Live Art II” was created in the wake of the very beneficial results and outputs of the School Partnership Project “Live Art” implemented in the school year 2017/2018 and presented by the partner school in Hodruša-Hámre, Slovakia. The intention of the presented project was to continue to deepen the international “live artistic” cooperation between two educational institutions. During this cooperation we wanted to focus on educating pupils, especially in their field of study in various art disciplines. The project was implemented during the peroid of the 1st December 2019 to 30th of November 2020 with the aim of sharing each others professional skills and competences in selected school-specific art techniques. The pupils became also acquainted with another education system and had the opportunity to see the creative work of the pupils and teachers of the partner schools. The participants obtained all necessary information about the working enviroment, tools and procedures. The handover of these skills and knowledges took place in several forms, especially in on-line communication between pupils and teachers (etwinning), short-term exchanges of groups of pupils and professional educators, a joint exhibition of created works and the use of the created trilingual proffesional vocabulary.
Individual goals were:
Learning the stages of new technology creating a work of art and application of these techniques to the partner school’s educational program.
Helping young people after graduation to access the European labor market.
The participants were encouraged to understand the culture and mentality of the partner schools. In addition, the internship has been prepared in a way to appropriate given tasks, the students were also to gain also the knowledge of other art treasures (galleries, museums, art styles of the city and its surroundings, etc.).
To adapt to the new system, environment, students, educators, people in the other EU countries.
To achieve a state when mobilities became a part of the learning process and built on theoretical vocational subjects.
Development of the information-communication skills.
Personal development of the participants and improvement of their educational achievements.
To improve school leadership and extending knowledge of participating teachers and school staff within the school partnership.
Strengthening joint cooperation in improving quality and innovation of way of theaching in the schools.
The first mobility took place at the Secondary Art School AVE ART Ostrava, Czech Republic, for 12 days during June 2020. The mobility was attended by 11 pupils from 1st to 3th grades and 2 professional educators who will gain their new knowledge and skills in the field of Industrial Design, focusing on working with a 3D printer.
The second mobility took place at the partner school Private Secondary Art School Hodruša – Hamré, Slovak Republic. 10 pupils from the 2nd to 4th grades and a professional educator took part in the mobility for 12 days in September 2020 and gained the knowledge and skills in the Metal spinning art field.
Supervision of the participants was performed by an educator – accompanying person. This was needed because of the involvement of minors students in the project. The educator (an accompanying person) was responsible for the participants and assisted them in solving various situations (eg. help with communication, orientation in a new environment, artistic creation).
A common trilingual dictionary (English-Czech-Slovak) was introduced, containing the professional terminology of selected artistic techniques.
The goal of the project was to improve the quality of education and the development of international cooperation and working towards achieving the objectives set in the European development plan for the partner schools.
