Project Summary

Background:
Styria is a historical province with its own German-speaking and Slovene-speaking part and belongs to two countries – Austria and Slovenia. There are many traces of coexistence and interweaving of cultures, which are also today the basis of many forms of cross-border cooperation in almost all areas of life, and it is normal that this also reflects in education. The school can help overcome the language barriers that children learn the language of their neighbours, they are interested in each other and develop on the basis of their own culture in the spirit of the EU principles. This is the starting point of the joint project of two schools

The children read and tell stories in Slovene or German with Bee-Bot. The exchange takes place regularly via eTwinnig.
The children can practice their language skills and use them in context
Description of activities:
Reading the stories together
Together story telling with Bee-Bot
Mutual visits by students
Joint excursions in Graz and Maribor

Methodology:
Use of traditional teaching methods and digital media
Both teams of teachers should be more confident in the use of digital media and in the use of eTwinning at the end of the project

Prejudices have been dismantled and friendships should have developed.

Results:
Home page reports
Bee-Bot mats with teaching materials
Bilingual reading book with stories
