Project Summary
The effects of climate change are being felt on all continents across the world and are predicted to become more frequent and more intense in the coming decades.The main project goal is to increase student, teacher and local community’s awareness of climate changes and sustainable development and to encourage physical activity.
The objectives of the project are:
OBJECTIVES
-Using interdisciplinary approach, to increase student, teacher and local community’s interest in science (climatology, meteorology, biology, geography) and achieve synergy between different fields of education,
– To Increase learning motivation among students Developing the interests and skills of students
– To develop Students’ awareness of their own interests and skills
– To develop digital skills by using modern technologies: creation of a website, e-groups, use of etwinning, editing videos
-Stimulate students to bring their ideas forth freely, articulately and substantially which will help them to develop creativity and critical thinking,
-Increase citizen’s ecological consciousness through public teachings and workshops,
-Strengthen the sense for responsibility for climate changes between all project participants, but also for belonging to local, national and European community,
ACTIVITIES
To reach these objectives we plan to do these activities.The local activities will occur before and after every LTTA, thus ensuring the flow and cohesion of the activities. The Learning/Teaching/Training activities are scheduled in this order:
6 short-term exchanges of groups of pupils, one in each country The distribution of the tasks and responsibilities among the partners:
The Spanish team has been chosen for the project coordinator and takes responsibility for project application and informing partners about results.
Turkey1 will be in charge for providing ICT support to partners, organising videoconferences,e-Twinning, School Education Gateway and evaluation of entire project.
Turkey2 will coordinate sport activities in project. Partners from Italy will coordinate project activity of climate migrations.
Romania will coordinate project activity of folk meteorology.
The Portuguese team will be in charge for making project websites , monitoring, controlling and dissemination of the entire project. It will coordinate project activities “Meteorology from above” and “Urban deserts”.
Italy will coordinate project activity of climate migrations.
Also each partner school will specify persons inside team, who will be responsible for dissemination, writing reports, buying tickets and travel organisation, finance, digital processing and publishing materials, organisation of hosting during mobilities, language cooperation, cooperation with parents and other partners, and person responsible for cooperation with media and local and regional authorities and institutions.
PARTICIPANTS
Our target audience consists of students from 11 to 18 years old.The group selection is based on criteria mutually agreed upon by school partners.
RESULTS
The student exchanges and all the local activities will have the following outcomes : worksheets, lesson plans, resources, students’ work, pictures, movies, website materials, Twinspace dissemination, dissemination made on Fb pages. The management activity of the project will have the following results:initial/final evaluation papers, progress/final reports, various dissemination materials,attendance certificates.
IMPACT
All partner schools will know an improvement regarding their experience, regarding cultural herigate education and Erasmus+ projects. Teachers stablish new connections with the local community members, NGOs, au-thorities, thus strenghtening the cooperation between the school and the community. Also, the schools will enrich their mate-rial basis with the course published within this project. They will be promoted in their local area, among other schools and institutions.
