Project Summary

Our pupils are growing up in a rapidly changing world. Technical innovation is making the world smaller. In the same time it is a challenge to increase the distance between people. The combination of these two gave us inspiration for this project. To live in the changing world and to connect with people our you need not only knowlegde. More important are your skills. Skills to adapt, skills to adjust and skills to connect with the word around you. Your talents and your awareness concerning your talents can help to train your skills.
Our Erasmus+ project ( T I E = Talent In Everyone) is a positive, powerful and innovative project for primary school students and teachers.
The priorities and topics : strengthening the profiles of teaching professions are connected to the ideas of Stephen Covey and the seven habits of highly effective people.

We believe that children learn a lot more being aware of their own talents, setting their own goals. Students must be prepared for the future. They have to be responsible for their own learning proces. Teachers must support them, help them and give them tools to experiment. That is why we learn students to be their own leader. If our aim is to prepare students for the future, then it is important to connect pupils with a renewed learning environment, sometimes we have to “break through the school walls and leave the beaten path.”
The profession of being a teacher is an important task, we must improve our teaching qualities, learn to use our talents and spread them. Teachers are very important in the learning process of students, so in this way, we are very motivated to start this project. By sharing those experience among teachers in this Erasmus+ project will help them to make their own educational system much more excellent. Above all to give students a great learn responsibility ( a leader in me) and awareness about their talents.
There are 6 partners who participate in this project; Finland, Norway, Belgium, Hungary, Italy and The Netherlands. They all focus on the importance of leadership and ownership by students and teachers.
The project is needed by all schools in light of their priorities to raise attainment for all pupils, including students with special needs and highly talented students.
The activities in this project will focus on exchanges of education systems, presentations of talent development, sharing good practices with each other. The students have an important role, they will present project presentations, will show their talents in different tasks and exercises ; for example being a guide in a guide school tour for the partners of the project. Increasing English speaking skills, introduce/develop eTwinning for the partners and students so they add the project work in this program.

We hope that students will “grow.” In this TIE project teachers and students will become stronger in:
– working independent .
– Students will know their strengths and weaknesses. They can decide what they need in order to “grow” and to let their knowledge grow.
– Students will work together, teachers teach them all the skills that are needed.
– Students know their own talents, skills. Can appoint these in other pupils. Teachers bring them to a good and functional use of their talents and skills
– Teachers train students in living together and how to make a school that is in development and ‘safe’ for everyone. We believe that a happy pupil makes happy teachers, and is willing to learn .
– Students can find their own (intrinsically) motivation and see the use of what they learn in school. What’s the issue in their further lives.

In this way ‘The leader in me’ will offer us a great opportunity to adapt our school in ways, so students will get more chances to grow in different ways. Education is not standstill, just development!

We hope that this project will give teachers the right tools to cope with the growing diversity in class groups. Teachers learn how to support pupils in growing on their own level.
By visiting other school, other countries, teachers have the possibility to discover different methods, materials, and they can find a lot of inspiration in different partner schoolsystems. They want to build their knowledge on different learning problems, behavioural problems.
The teachers will learn what to do when pupils have to be put on an other curriculum.
Staff will be curious to find new teaching methods.
Comparing the curriculum of the different countries can help us to make the right choices for our students.
We will use multimodal materials such as stories, digital tools, songs, movies, games to increase the students interest in developing their talents.
Finally there are potential longer term benefits for all participants including target groups to foster a positive learning attitude towards lifelong learning in Europe, creating links and disseminating results for future generations to come.
