Project Summary

In our recent century all European people fulfill all their needs via social media. Changes and developments of digital world caused internet to be one of the platforms in which malevolent people to use corrupted online content all over the World. That’s why, besides its too much benefits, the internet comprises many risks within. Our aim in our project is not to introduce digital tools, but to create awareness in adults about the dangers encountered in using social media tools.
Our target audience is all adults, but our priority is the social, economic and educational level of adults, who are unable to get acquainted with information and communication technologies during the formal education era. Because these adults don’t know how to use internet consciously and in a safe manner and have lack of information about digital life.
In our project, a course module program has been prepared in order to be used in skills training for adults to use social media consciously and safely. In this process, information and documents were shared with our project partners, the draft module was prepared first, and then implementation of this draft module program was done. The results of the pilot implementation of this draft module program was completed in the countries of all the project partners were analyzed by pre-test, post-test and satisfaction surveys and the module was finalized. Education and learning activities of this project were be followed through with activities comprised with the new point of view. It was planned to support of lifelong learning culture and at the end of the study we believe it is a project that will support lifelong learning. At the end of the project we saw that adults who acquire the ability to use safe of social media can criticize and query while they watch films, soap operas, ads play computer games, use web sites and surf on the net. After te courses they can recognize whether the information is right or not, harmful or useful, safe or risky.
Throughout the World, EU countries are practicing different kinds of implementations and projects to eradicate these problems. This module is include EU standards and norms in support of catching the standards and producers in application of adult education. It was support these studies with briefing, guidance and counseling services. Individuals who have gained in motivation common training and formal education associated with about EU projects in the future will be provided.
In the future, they are expected to be motivated individuals to participate in non-formal education and training related to EU projects.
There were 5 partners and a local partner in this project. Our local partner was from Golbasi- Ankara called “Chamber Of Tradesmen And Craftsmen”. This organization was important for the dissemination of the project. Our partners were Poland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy. Our partners have successfully worked for years in different EU co-funded projects in order to build and develop innovative training and during those years they have constituted experienced team which includes project managers, researchers, trainers, VET experts, IT and e learning specialists.
Our outputs are:
*scanning the literature about safe and conscious use of social media,
*the training module,
*pre-tests/ post-tests, satisfaction survey,
*documents that were be used in web sites,
*articles, cds, flyers, brochures that were be used in dissemination activities.
The training module, pre-tests/ post-tests, satisfaction survey, web site were be prepared in 7 languages English, Turkısh, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Greek, Portuguese. English were be common language.
As a result we have developed a teaching module to provide adults with high-quality learning opportunities through innovative methods. This study is supported with dissemination efforts such as seminars, meetings, posters, brochures, CDs and Web sites with information, awareness-raising.
