Project Summary

The PERFORMATOR – 22-month project gathers 6 partner organizations. Three of which are from Programme Countries and three of them from Eastern partnership (South Caucasus). Addressing the contemporary challenges regarding the gender inequality and threats for human rights in the South Caucasus and in Europe and offers comprehensive response through Perfomative arts and Forum Theatre Methodology.PERFORMATOR will cover the topics of Gender Equality and using Forum Theatre technique in youth work. The mixture of the organizations having the diverse experiences regarding these topics, allows the partners to create the platform for sharing, experiencing, experimenting, learning and reflecting together. The project set the following objectives:- to promote awareness of the dangers of discrimination including xenophobia, sexism and all forms of discrimination and to reinforce the importance of equal opportunities in all sectors of society;- to raise the topics of Gender Based Violence and Discrimination, Stereotypes and inequalities existing in partner countries;- to enhance their awareness of the principles of human rights and encourage young people to recognize the value of cultural diversity, to actively explore other cultures and belief-systems with an open mind;- to promote the EQUALITY as the universal value of modern society;- to experiment innovative educational tools in the process of empowering the local communities;- to promote using Forum Theatre as the effective and innovative tool for non-formal education and activism;- to raise the quality of youth work done at participating countries;The project consists of 9 activities, 6 of which is the Mobility and, 3 – Capacity Building Activity.
