Project Summary

“Dimensions of European Cultural Heritage” is a strategic partnership project involving 6 schools from 6 different countries: Poland , France, Romania, Croatia, Greece and Spain. This partnership resulted from a common need and it addresses a common aim, that of documenting, preserving and promoting the values of our national and European cultural heritage. Despite our geographical, economical or political differences, we share similar ideas and strive to accomplish our goals in this partnership.
Our project intends:
1.To increase the level of knowledge on cultural heritage in a group of 230 students( aged 10-15 ) and 61 teachers from Croatia, France, Greece, Poland, Romania, Spain over a period of 24 months
2. To recognize, document, preserve, promote and pass forward knowledge of cultural heritage
3. To increase, by the end of the project, within a 2 years period of time, a sense of tolerance and understanding among the total 291 participants ,while gaining a new sense of national and European identity.
4. To upgrade ICT skills and competences among the participating students and teachers
As mentioned above, the total number of participants is 291, consisting of 61teachers and 230 students, in the 10-15 age group. They form the project teams in the 6 countries. They are all members of public schools. They will be involved in the project locally and 105 of them (the mobility participants) internationally. On returning home, they will share their experiences and disseminate the results of their work with their peers and the local communities.
We have planned to organize different activities, all aiming to increase the participants’ interest and knowledge on the subject. There will be workshops, contests, field trips, an eTwinning project and learning activities for both teachers and students. They will be carried out nationally, in each of the participating schools, internationally, at training events or virtually, by internet.
All the results of our project will be accessible to the public, by school libraries ,eTwinning and internet, the Erasmus+ platform ,of vital importance for our project dissemination, as they provide open and free access to a wide variety of audience, which can make our project internationally visible and recognized.
Finally, we hope to upgrade participants’ ICT skills and competences, change their attitude towards a new sense of understanding and awareness of cultural heritage issues and also foster future mutual international cooperation among partners. Thanks to the present project, new projects are possible, in new formats, not only Erasmus+. Our schools aim to develop their European dimension and expand international cooperation.
