Project Summary

Our main goal was to inspire youngsters from social houses to become more active citien of European Union. We promoted young people’s active citizenship in general trough participation in project activities which are street art and active and healthy lifestyle. Project was designed for youngsters from 12 to 23 years old, from Narva and Riga. Participants were involved in all project activities. Every month there was different activities for yougsters. We used non-formal education methods as seminars, trainings, masterclasses, discussion and etc. The activities of the project were modern and popular among youngsters, and there was extreme situations, where they needed to take fast desicions in groups, which helped them to rally, and change very much. In all the events of the project there was involved represenatives of local government, which helped them to see the situation and needs of the youngsters in town. Participants learned, how active participantion differs from a passive participation, how are the desicions made, which projects are getting financed and what is the role of yougnsters. Young people felt themselves more interested in social life and have a positive attitude for a further corporation. Cities social life is developing trough the project activities, which has a positive impact on the local community. Speaking to friends about this project, participants were able to inspire other young people to participante and implemnt youth projects.
