Project Summary
The CIVEEL project was born from the long-term and successful partnership between 3 European regions: Moravia-Silesia in Czech Republic, Great Eastern Region in France and Lubelskie Voivodship in Poland. The project could benefit from the experience acquired by the Moravie-Silesia and Great Eastern Regions in a previous project (AJUSTE). Facing similar difficulties such as high rate of unemployment and decreasing interest of young people for vocational initial training, these partner regions decided to share their knowledge and experience and expand their cooperation in regards to projects related to lifelong education and vocational training.
Consequently, the main objective of this project was to help increase the employability of pupils from vocational schools by promoting the sharing of know-how and best practices between people active in the fields of education and/or vocational training, such as schools, local governments and educational institutions.
Four fields of training were chosen by the regions for this project: agriculture, transport/logistic, chemistry and hotel business and catering. The aim of the partnership was to increase the attractiveness and perception of these fields which are among the most important economic branches in the 3 regions and were identified as well as the most required for a European cooperation.
In each region, one school from each field participated (12 schools as a whole) into staff exchanges and training activities for teachers (first year) and pupils (second year).
The Great Eastern Region was the main coordinator of the project and the Rectorat de l’Académie de Nancy-Metz participated as an associate partner to keep the link with schools. Moravia-Silesia and Lubelskie regions acted as regional coordinators and responsible for ensuring relations with the local schools and organizing local meetings and mobilities. This organization guaranteed a successful and smooth implementation of the project in the 3 territories.
Concretely, the following activities were developed during the 2 years of the project:
– Transnational meetings between the main and regional coordinators,
– Pedagogues and staff exchanges in each partner region,
– Training activities for the pupils in each partner region, associated with virtual mobility.
Concerning the outputs of the project, the partners realized a mobility handbook resuming the experience of cooperation, that can be used as a “toolkit” for increasing and facilitating other similar experiences, as it contains all templates used by the partners (agreements, evaluation sheets…).
The partners managed to preserve created school partnerships after the project realization as all schools plan to cooperate in new projects. Finally, this project strengthened the links between the 3 regional authorities and helped them identify new opportunities of cooperation as they already work to submit a new strategic partnership in the area of health and care education and work.
