Project Summary

Schools provide information about career paths, but sometimes our students do not have a real perspective. Therefore, it is also necessary to create a strategy to foster the entrepreneurial culture due to the lack of knowledge in this field. On the other hand, despite being digitally supportive schools, with teachers trained in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), this does not seem to translate into the levels of ICT confidence that might be expected. This interdisciplinary project seeks to provide skills and knowledge in English, ICT and entrepreneurship, in order to close the gap between the world of education and work. In addition, the development of a curriculum (“Integrated European Project”) focused on these skills, gives meaning to this global approach. These activities will be carried out with a CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach.

Pupils will:
• To know in depth the opportunities of academic itineraries and in the world of work from a European perspective, improving the linguistic, digital, mathematical and entrepreneurial skills.

Teachers will:
• Improve the use of ICT and Open Educational Resources (OER), using a CLIL approach.
• Develop the curriculum of a new optional subject based on the purposes of this project.

The partnership include:
• The IES Santa Rosa de Lima en Córdoba (Spain). Center of secondary education located in a middle class neighborhood in Córdoba where the solutions addressed by the project, have special relevance for its pupils, helping them to achieve future bright job opportunities.
• The BORG (BundesOberstuffenRealGymnasyum) in Wiener Neustadt (Austria). Prestigious educational center focused on the scientific, musical and sportive itineraries, with which we have already collaborated on some previous occasions, related to the development of Comenius programs.
• Johannes Sebastian Bach RealGymnasyum from Windsbach (Germany). Center of secondary education placed in a rural environment, near Nüremberg.

The main activities are:
• Exchange of students and teachers in the three participating countries to carry out collaborative activities and the dissemination of the intellectual product.
• Dissemination of the project and activities to the educational community through posters, websites and the media.
• YouTube video “How are you going to make a living?” which sums up the first year.
• Development and publication of the curriculum of the optative subject “Integrated European Project” in Spanish, English and German in a web page (open license) as well as in paper with a professional finish. It is also available in Exelearning format to be exportable and modifiable.
• Presentation of the project and dissemination of its intellectual product (curriculum) in the different multiplier events:
– Course about the INNICIA program, which promotes entrepreneurship among young people.
– 5th Plurilingualism Fair
– Course organised by the Association of Directors of Institutes of Andalusia (ADIAN).
– Multiplier events in Windsbach (Germany) and Wiener Neustadt (Austria).
– Dissemination acts for the families and students of the educational centers belonging the three countries.
• Transnational meeting among the coordinators.
• Several university and training institutions, as well as other business agents, have partaked in the development of the project.

Results and impacts achieved
The students have improved their English language proficiency, their digital competence and entrepreneurial. They have developed their economic and financial education and have discovered that the labor market is not restricted only to the Spanish scope but extends to the whole European Union. They have also enriched their cultural background with experiences exchanges among the three countries.
Teachers have created Open Educational Resources with a CLIL approach for various subjects, have discovered various digital tools, improving their professional competence and have developed bonds between the three educational centers for future European projects. They have also improved their digital professional skills and linguistic communication in English.
The curriculum of the subject “Integrated European Project” has been developed. As a result of the dissemination of this intellectual product, three secondary schools in the province of Cordoba have included it in their educational offer for 4º ESO. Besides, 30 students are already pursuing this subject at the IES Santa Rosa de Lima de Córdoba.
The focus of this project is crucial to the self-employment and entrepreneurship of students and is useful for their choice of an educational and work itineraries, according to their desire and strengths.
A new vision has been created in the three participating centers about the entrepreneurial culture and its curricular integration, included in the educational projects of the centers.
