Project Summary

We have observed that the involvement of commonly excluded students in the fine arts, specifically in the community activities we arranged, has had a positive impact on the students’ life, both in school and off campus. Music, drama, dance and visual arts activities, such as those available at our center, give a chance to students improve their self discipline, coordination, self-esteem , thinking and listening skills, creative abilities and personal expression. With the fine arts center at its core, this project focuses on preventing students from engaging in violence and dropping out of school, as well as improving the overall equality among our students.Objectives:-to create a better educational environment for students-to prevent students from engaging in or being the victims of violence-to decrease the levels of early drop outs-to decrease inequality among our students-to teach and disseminate different types of fine arts–including music, drama, visual arts, and dance–to pupils-to raise the students’ educational motivation -to improve students’ self -confidence, peer communication, educational achivements, and social skills-to increase knowledge of diversity and tolerance among students and teachers-to learn about European cultures and countries The project requires a transnational dimension in order to:-demonstrate and analyze the similarities and differences in regards to shared problems between countries -develop new and creative solutions for these problems and increase cooperationProject results:The project will improve their visual ,audial, kinesthetic, emotional skills .-The project will help them to interact and cooporate with other students in their school and the other project schools.-They will be more motivated for school .-They will create something and they will feel the sense of achievement .-They will improve their self confidence .-Their discipline and absenteesim problems will decrease.-They will learn about different countries and cultures.-They will make international friends .-This project will broaden students’horizon and they will be more optimistic for their future plans.-Teachers will develop their language , communication,manegerial and negotiation skills -The projet will promote an exchange of ideas and pedagogical approches leading to the creation of transnational network and increasin the schools’ European dimension and prestige .There are five countries and schools involved (Yakuplu Ortaokulu Turkey), ( SOU Anton Popov Bulgaria ), (Istituto comprensivo statale Alvignano Italy), (Agrupamento De Escolas De Barcelos Portugal ) , (Marijampole ,,Ryto” Basic School Lithuania ).There will be music,drama,dance and visual art activities in our project.All the activities will be done with larger groups in each partner school and then three students from each group will be choosen for exchange meetings .During the exchange meetings students will create and perform different activities according to their topics.At transnational meetings subject teachers will decide on the activities will be done .
