Project Summary
The project originated on the basis of long-term cooperation of the involved schools. Some schools cooperated in fashion design, some schools in hairdressing and make-up artists. The project involved linking of these expertises. The aim of the project was to develop professional competencies and professional language skills of the students and the teachers. The target group were the students and the teachers of the secondary schools specialized in hairdressing and fashion design. The project involved six specialized secondary schools from four countries – the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. The number of the students and the teachers directly involved in the project was more than 200 (preparation of the model, hairstyle, make-up, photos and presentations). The next group were those who participated in the presentations and exhibitions. Overall, the project has affected more than 400 people in four countries. The crucial activity of the project were the international workshops. Each of them was always focused on one historical period. At the workshop meeting all the participants presented their outputs – dresses, hairstyles, presentations, photos focused on a given historical period (antiquity, renaissance, baroque, art nouveau). At the international meeting, one collective piece of clothing including photography as a result of the mutual cooperation, was created. Every meeting finished with the public exhibition of the clothing and the photographs.
