Project Summary
The project IMPULSA – Promoting a social football emerges from the need of increasing the capacities of not for profit sport organisations in order to improve three key areas: the internal management process of not for profil organisations linked to sport, the incorporation of youth work and non formal education into their initiatives and projects, and the knowledge on key tools referred to education and inclusion through sport.
In this context, IMPULSA Project has been implemented by a partnership of up to four organisations: Spanish Professional Football Foundation (Spain), London Sport (United Kingdom), sport club FK Bangas (LithuaniaI) and the Professional Football League from Romania. All of them sport entities with a profound interest on fostering education and social inclusion of Young people through sports. More than 20 further sportive, social and youth organisations have joint the Project, directly benefiting from the trainings offered.
Main activities developed through the Project life cycle have been training ones, highlighting the following:
– Over 30 hours of online training for up to 72 persons.
– A face-to-face Training Campus to get deeper in the proposed topics
– The development of networking and Project coaching activities to reinforce the development of new projects and initiatives.
Furthermore, the IMPULSA Project has foster broad dissemination of results and products developed:
– Training Materials on governance of not for profit organisations linked to sports
– Training Materials on education and inclusion through sport
– A Guide containing dynamics to incorporate values education in training sessions.
– An E-Learning Platform open to new courses and training that already contains two open self learning courses on youth work and education and inclusion through sport.
In relation to Project achivements it is worth to highlight the sinergies given between youth and social organizations and sports entities, which undoubtly sill lead to the development of new projects and initiative to improve the social inclusion of Young people through sport.
