Project Summary
The present project is the result of the analysis and study of the strengths and needs of the institutions that comprise it. Driven by the steering committees of the centers and involving the cloisters and students and relying on the contacts established in recent years, we have discovered the great opportunity that involves being able to carry out a project of exchange of good practices where all partners achieve complement each other
The project “Understanding the present through the past” has as main objective to enhance, improve and promote the study of Social Sciences through the improvement of competency methodologies such as Cooperative Work, Entrepreneurship, Education for Understanding and the Bilingualism.
Other important objectives are:
1-Analyze the complementarity of the success methodology of each of the 4 centers involved, and how to exchange them to solve the needs.
2-To improve the results obtained in the level tests carried out by the project partners at an internal level regarding the competence of the Social Sciences.
3-Update and train teachers of all partners in innovative professional skills through innovation and the exchange of good practices. Spanish partners, in Education for Understanding and in Cooperative Work; Polish partners, bilingualism.
4-The internationalization of partner institutions that have not yet participated in European projects. In our case, start the internationalization of Altocastillo, Guadalimar and Zagle schools. And that the project serves to be able to develop more complex innovation projects in the coming years.
5-Disseminate the results of the project within the different school groups to which the partners belong (21 centers in Attendis and 26 in Sternik) and that can benefit from this experience and encourage the development of European projects.
The association is formed by four partners:
– Altocastillo School (Spain), Coordinator
– Guadalimar School (Spain)
– Zagle School (Poland)
– Promienie School (Poland), With experience in project management.
Our centers are therefore in the process of changing competencies and aim through the above described to share experiences and complement each other to implement new methodologies that make the learning process easier, efficient, motivating and competent. The results will therefore be introduced in the center project in a transversal manner.
Throughout the project, a series of local as well as transnational activities have been planned in which the objectives set out in the project will be worked on.
The theme of the activities revolves around how the evolution of cities throughout history has been shaping the characteristics of European societies. The activities that will be developed in the mobilities for students are:
– The evolution of cities during the Ancient Age, the Middle Ages, the Modern Age and the Contemporary Age.
Regarding the training of teachers, three courses are planned:
– Course on Bilingualism, Course on Education for Understanding and Course on Cooperative Work.
The aim of this project is also to internationalize the centers by creating networks of schools for the exchange of good practices, with the intention of making a qualitative leap towards larger projects such as the KA201.
With all the described it is intended to obtain the following results:
Results:
Tangible:
-Videos in which each of the partners is presented and summarize their methodological strengths.
– Methodological manual on bilingualism and on the methodology Education for Understanding and Cooperative Work.
Intangibles:
-Improvement of the professional skills of teachers and students in foreign languages.
-The internationalization of the centers to share good practices.
-Implementation of the EpC and TC methodologies that make the learning process easier, efficient, motivating and competent.
-Improvement of the academic results related to the competence of the Social Sciences.
-Promotion and dissemination of the social and educational value of European cultural heritage.
-Improvement of the process of implementation of bilingual education.
Finally, a series of dissemination actions will be carried out with the intention of making the project known to the maximum possible number of institutions, schools and families. A local, regional and transnational impact will be sought.
Once the project is finished, all the results will be included in the educational project of all the partners in a transversal way. In addition, we want to continue opening networks of European schools, taking the leap from good practices to innovation, starting with the KA201 innovation model.
