Project Summary

Society changes, life changes and education is something dynamic and needs constant feedback to follow equally these changes in order to prepare our students to be responsible European citizens. Erasmus+ gave our schools, teachers and students, the opportunity to widen up horizons, to accept different cultures,to meet different educational systems and environments, to build co operations, friendships and bonds to last. The coordinators was a group of six female English teachers, from Greece,Italy,Poland,Slovakia,Sweden and Turkey, who teach pupils aged 10-15 and strongly believe that the language we teach is the passport to Europe, to the world. We used English language to work on this project about Technology, to make research, to exchange knowledge, to improve cultural awareness, to have experiences. Our past participations in E-twinning co operations and now in European project made clear how such alliances motivate students and strengthens professional profile of teachers. Throughout the project we became more self-confident, developed skills within and across national borders, ensured that skills and qualifications can be more easily recognized, in all sub-systems of education and training as well as in the labor market in future.

Internationalization of education and growing use of digital learning, support the creation of flexible learning pathways in line with learners’ needs and objectives. We worked as a big international team and as we had to do with primary school pupils we managed to make them realize through research and critical thinking that technology is not only for having fun and leisure but something more and good use of it can give us progress and better living conditions and professional opportunities.
The importance of Technology in contemporary society is demonstrated by the use of it in our daily lives and the way it affects us. All participants had the chance to study the history and simple people’s life in past times in other European countries. We worked and communicated in English, in real life situations and that motivated pupils to realize that English language and foreign languages can be the vehicle which brings nations closer. We gained a Global way of thinking and understood that as European citizens we can take advantage of sharing knowledge, cooperation, research and job opportunities. We shared with our colleagues, pupils, parents, directors of education every experience gained through the Transnational meetings and this way xenophobia was reduced and acceptance and respect to different increased. Watching our work and describing our experience to other school teachers we motivated and guided them to apply for an Erasmus project. Our students worked on activities according to their interest and abilities and shared and competed with European fellows and overcame the sense of isolation and knowledge without application.

We worked hard and got the best of the project’s international dimension and with positive attitude we cooperated effectively. We learned things about other countries, their past, their educational systems, their culture and society.
Project activities were done as planned and objectives accomplished :essays, competitions, reports, videos, simple experiments, magazines issued by the partners, workshops, exhibitions, visits.
The coordinators had regular communication on Facebook,e-mails,chats.The Transnational meetings gave the chance to meet all the school staff members and head teachers and we developed real friendships. In partner schools Erasmus brought closer the teachers, the pupils and everybody concerned while working for that common goal.We are ready to share our work and make clear everyone can join an Erasmus ,it is not something for special ones.It makes you feel special after the participation. We share our work on the Results Platform and we call students and teachers to join this unique experience that made all of us able to think outside the box.
