Project Summary

The project “European Information Network:Active Learning Effective Teaching at School” was implemented according to the working plan and schedule of project activities. The main goal of this project, in order to carry out effective teaching in schools was raised pupils who can take the responsibility of their own learning process by using active learning method and techniques. On the other hand, this project was aimed at upgrading teachers’ effective teaching skills as well. The project have implemented an innovative and successful works that will provide students life long learning by making use of the opportunities of educational technologies in their learning-teaching processes. Teachers and students prepared e-content that would make learning easier and enjoyable, and they shared their experiences.

Against this background, the project objectives;
1. Reducing school dropout by making students love school;
2. Developing the students’ skills in asking questions, researching, self-recognition, self-expression and working together with a group;
3. Enabling teachers to use their knowledge and experience on computer-based tools and WEB 2.0 tools effectively and efficiently in educational settings;
4. improving teachers’ effective classroom management skills,
5. Improving the professional teaching skills of the teachers;
6. Motivating lifelong learning by ensuring that students take their own learning responsibilities;

There were established the number of types of mobility: 7 transnational meetings and 2 blended mobility for learners and 1 staff training events. There partcipants were students aged 10-15 years old and teachers of langugages, math, science, history, information and communication technologies, art, special education branches.
There were involved 42 students (23 students in the blended mobility in Italy and 19 students in the blended mobility in North Macedonia) 98 teachers participated both in the transnational project meeting and learning teaching training events. Both teachers and students have produced and used different digital resources, especially the development of the skills of teachers involved in this project and their effective use of digital resources in the teaching process. The total number of students who participated in the project activities from each partner school was approximately 2500.

It was implemented an innovative and successful work that will make students want to learn lifelong by making use of the opportunities of educational technologies in their learning-teaching processes. Teachers and students prepared e-content that would make learning easier and enjoyable, and shared their experiences. Instead of only single teaching method,many teaching approaches and methods are taken into consideration in Active learning model. It has also increased its usefulness in learning-teaching processes.This situation provided the teachers with a rich variety of methods during their teaching processes. This also enabled students to participate actively in learning-teaching processes. The students experienced the happiness of learning through alive activities by doing and. It was observed that the students’ motivation was increased towards learning.

Training events were held at international meetings for teachers and students. In the training activity attended by teachers, it was worked on the application of active learning methods and techniques in learning-teaching processes. Teachers and students attended the other two activities together. Blended trainings were aimed at using WEB 2.0 internet tools and producing e-content. At the same time, teachers shared their knowledge, skills and experiences on the following subjects with their colleagues at transnational meetings.
-Introducing the teaching method system and curriculum in partner schools
-How can we raise the students’ motivation
-The approaches about “Preventing School Bullying” at the partner schools
-Support training for the students with special needs in each partner country and school education system.
-In partner schools, activities related to ensuring family involvement for school-family collaboration and students’ success
-Activities to improve social and emotional competence of the students in partner schools.How do we improve the social and emotional competences of the students?
-Working on dissemination strategies, press releases, information brochure and website.

In this way, each partner school had the opportunity to compare the education systems and teaching techniques and experiences with other schools. As a result, DVDs were prepared with a handbook containing sample applications of active learning methods and techniques. The students and teachers created e-content such as video, PDF, film, mind maps, poetry-story writing, crossword puzzle, digital newspaper, drama activities, museum trips, science trips were shared on the project website.
