Project Summary
“Bees over the Alps” is a project of international Polish-Italian cooperation between schools of agricultural profile – Istituto Vercelli in Piedmont and the Secondary School Complex No. 5 in Zamość. The participants of the project were groups of students from both schools, mainly from classes of agricultural profile, in the number of 80 students aged 16-19. The main axis of cooperation was the exchange of experiences and practices in beekeeping. Both schools have long-standing beekeeping traditions and have access to local beekeeping resources and markets. The project turned out to be an opportunity to exchange unique breeding experiences. Methodologies have been compared and cooperation has been established in the field of beekeeping between regions. Issues related to the promotion of modern beekeeping and marketing have been highlighted.
