Project Summary
Nowadays one of the most important and growing worldwide problem is migration. Migration movements effect on not only the refugees but also the local people. Briefly we can tell that migration effects bilions of people worldwide. It is seen that refugees especially women have problems about integration, and removing psychological matters that result from being refugees. The aim of the project is to produce an applicable model programme for integration to society and rehabilitation of women living out of camps. The project aims also at finding solutions the problems faced by the women in order to increase their life standarts. The project activities were implemented in three steps: – Rehabilitation; – Informative Activities about the refugee rights and – Social integration. The project were held with the collaboration of seven countries (Turkey, Greece, Romania, Poland, Latvia, Czech Republic and Albania). The organizations were selected in the criteria of working with refugees, especially women. The Project lasted 24 months. Some of the main activities and estimated results of the Project that were carried out during the Project are, – A psychosocial model for supporting refugee women; – Infographics which contains the rigths of the refuegees in terms of their legal rights in education, health and other related topşics needed – LTT event including the introduction of the psychosocial model to the different NGOs participating partners countries’ potential trainers and experts; – Multiplier event with the aim of dissemination of intellectual output through infographics and booklet as a dissemination tool; – In terms of social integration art courses and job/ work opportunity consultancy (providing learning Turkish, English and Arabic language consultancy) were provided to refugee women in local; – Transnational Project meetings leading to discussion and getting feedbacks about the refugee women in each partner countries and also interculturel improvement were provided; – Dissemination activities as general were sharing booklet, meeting with the representative NGOs and public bodies, openning refugee project office and also web site of the project, participation 30th Year Celebration of ErasmusDays Event hosted by Gaziantep University and academical studies including participation in conferences and publishing articles.
