Project Summary
We started working with our partners long before our first transnational meeting, which took place at the “Puerto de Santa Maria” in Spain from 16/10 to 20/10 2017. The objective of this meeting was to set up the schedule and activities to be carried out during the first months of the project (see attached “Minutes”).
This work took the form, on the one hand, of the setting up of the competition to find the logo and slogan of the project. The first achievements were shown to the partners at the first meeting. Then, at the end of the competition, each partner chose the top four from their college and the juries gathered in a video conference and voted to designate the winning logo and slogan (see “Logo” attachment).
On the other hand, the steering and budget committees created in September 2017 ensured the successful implementation of the project.
As far as the progress of the project is concerned, we can distinguish two parts:
– Carrying out activities common to the various institutions envisaged at the application stage:
o Transnational meetings
The four transnational meetings planned took place and enabled effective, pragmatic and joint follow-up from the design of the project in El Puerto de Santa Maria to its conclusion in Tarnos (see attached minutes).
During these meetings, each partner demonstrated involvement, listening and initiative, making coordination easy and enjoyable.
o Mixed student mobility
The four mixed student mobilities went according to plan. They allowed all students during a total cultural and linguistic immersion in each host community to deepen – in the three languages of the project – their basic skills and acquire new ones through joint and autonomous work: indeed, each meeting was the culmination of a collaboration conducted upstream through the project’s Twinspace as well as the discovery and ever more efficient use of new technologies.
The involvement and warm welcome of the families and staff of the partner colleges have greatly contributed to the smooth running and success of these mixed student mobilities.
o Productions
All the productions envisaged during the first transnational management meeting were carried out according to the specifications and in compliance with the didactic units (see attachment didactic units), all elaborated jointly in El Puerto de Santa Maria in October 2017: map, recipe ebook, fake legends, videos Planning our future (see attachment). We will come back to this later.
o Joint work on the project’s Twinspace platform: https://twinspace.etwinning.net/44792/home.
exchanges between students to get to know each other
activities aimed at building intercultural links in language courses
preparation of the activities to be carried out during the mobility in order to finalize the productions determined during the first transnational management meeting (El Puerto de Santa Maria October 2017)
– Implementation within each establishment of the activities envisaged at the application stage. The various productions are available on the results platform:
o Creation of project management and steering committees
o Productions intended for the dissemination and follow-up of the project, both inside and outside the institution (social, municipal and academic authorities)
o Creation of various workshops, composed of volunteer students from all levels of the school and adult supervisors, designed to promote interdisciplinarity and teamwork: radio, video – for design, photography and editing -, decoration, frescoes, translation…
o Organisation of events to develop and deepen relations between the different actors of the school community involved in the project (parents, pupils, teachers, staff, management, town hall services, institutions, etc.)
