Project Summary
Our project, which aims to improve digital skills among students, is based on digital competence, one of the eight main competences proposed by the European Parliament and the Council for lifelong learning. Digital competence includes the safe and critical use of Information Society Technology (IST) for business, entertainment and communication. This is supported by basic skills. ICT: The use of computers to receive, evaluate, store, produce, present and exchange information and to communicate and participate in collaboration networks over the internet. Objectives
By the end of the 2022, our students are expected to:
1. improve the twenty first century competencies,
2. develop digital information and data literacy competencies.
3. improve digital communication and colloboration qualifications
4. enchance the skills to produce digital content,
5. develop digital security competencies,
6. increase digital problem solving skills,
Activities for the purpose of the Project:
1. With the 21st century competencies activity, in this competence area, participants will be able to practice in understanding the importance of digital skills in the 21 st century.
2. With the digital information and data literacy activity, in this competence area, participants will analyze, compare and evaluate the reliability of information and digital content sources critically .
3. With the digital communication and cooperation activity, in this competence area, participants will use data, resources and information with digital tools and technology in a collaborative process.
4. With the digital content production activiy, in this competence area, participants will be able to organize digital content in different formats and express themselves in digital ways.
5. With the digital security activity, in this competence area, participants will carry out practices to protect privacy of personal data in digital environments and to prevent themselves and others being harmed.
6. With the digital problem solving activity, participants will make applications in this competence area.
Impact of the Project:
“Since Digital Technology is a fact that determines the flow of human life today, even the awareness and sensitivity of the young generation will play an important role in recognizing the positive, beneficial and good aspects of this technology.” (Maja Abramič, UDS Slovenya)
Students attending the school between the ages of 14-18 and volunteer teachers as companions will participate in activities abroad. The project partners will participate in each foreign activity with five students and two teachers. A total of 100 students and 50 teachers will participate in foreign project activities. Students experiencing social, economic and geographical obstacles will be included in the project activities. The project which will be lasted for two years will be carried out in the coordination of BE, TR 1 , ES, PL, FR and TR 2.
The monitoring and evaluaiton of our project will continue with tools such as Swott Analysis, Teacher Competence Scale, Face to face Interview with students, Workplace Survey, Parent Questionarrie, Educational Performans Form, Digital Practices, Individual Monitoring Schedule throughout the project. Activities that we plan to reach the goals of our will be made with the measurable indicators (qualitative and quantitative) and the rates of change between the current condition and the target will be made with the Basic Qualifications Form, Individual Development File, Digital Implementation Tools and Digital Implementation Guide.
In order to have the expected level of impact of concrete and abstact results/ outputs on the end users in the consequence of the project activities, dissemintaion activities will be carried out before the project begins, during the project, the final report stage, after project. These dissemination activities will take place in the partnership, in four stages for the main target group expect for partners, other skate holders, decision makers and the other target group. Our eTwinning project page will be used actively for the implementation and dissemination stages of LTT activities.
Thanks to the Digital Practice Guide, it will enable to analyze problem areas in time, determine the strategy to meet the need, make arrangements in learning environmets, achieve the goal and determine the rate of achievement of the goals. The Digital Application Guide will achieve a long-term sustainable cycle in itself by being updated in every need. Keeping the ownership of the project at an adequate level, continuing political support, chance in the instutional capacity of the partners, social-cultural factors, meeting local expectations, financial sustainability will be provided. The use of action-oriented pedagogies will be preferred in all disciplines to integrate digital skills into the curriculum.
