Project Summary
The project “Golden Triangle of Renaissance: Beatrice of Naples, Matthias Corvinus and Vladislaus II. Jagiellonian” follows the history of the Central European kingdoms – Bohemia, Poland and Hungary. Political relations between countries, dissemination of Renaissance and the influence of Italy are depicted with the personality of Vladislaus II. Jagiellonian and his wife Beatrice of Naples. The project very well completes pictures of individual personalities of Vladislaus II., Matthias Corvinus and Beatrice of Naples. Project seeks relationships among them, whose themes are not time of history lessons. As well as, the project develops knowledge about European cultural heritage and pro-European thinking. Partners closely related to the topic are involved in the project. Krakow, Poland – birthplace of Vladislav II.; Olomouc, Czech Republic – the place of signing the contract between Vladislav and Matthias; Capua, Italy – Birthplace of Beatrice; Budapest, Hungary – king´s city of Matthias and the place of the death of Vladislav.
The project is gaining added value because of innovative concept complemented by modern teaching methods, which lead to the acquisition of key competencies.
