Project Summary

The school’s internationalization commission has as its main objective the opening of allits teachings to the didactic approaches coming from Europe, contemplated in the CEFR and in the European Portfolio of Languages; proof of this is our participation in numerous Comenius projects, Erasmus KA101 projects, the ECHE charter, eTwinning projects and currently in
the application for a KA229 projectfor a school exchange association with the SUGS center Gimnazija Orce Nikolov, of Skopje (Macedonia), with a very similar international profile. Both centers are multilingual, opt for the CLIL methodology, teach several subjects in English or French, have the Label FrancEducation and implement together an eTwinning Project of the same name,
which will be the fundamental communication channel.
The objectives are to renew the methodological approaches in the two centers, to develop the key competences and skills amongth students in order to raise them as critical, conscious, able individuals; to focus the methodology in an interdisciplinary way and use new strategies fort he coordination among the Areas, the improvement of education in ethical values; social inclusion and equality between men and women and the knowledge of cultural, national and European heritage.
We intend to know and compare the sociocultural, moral, economic, gender and leisure aspects that occupy and concern the adolescents and young people of the two countries, who live in two very different cities demographically, economically and culturally. We think that, in this era of hypercommunication and social networks, some young people are passive, uninforme drecipients, and consumers of manipulative ordeceptive products and messages that are not always analyzed and processed. We try to turn the min to active actors and protagonists of the communication process to reverse this trend.
We are interested in two horizontal priorities: methodological change and innovative practices in the digital era, and the improvement in key competences. Regarding the subject, we contemplate social dialogue, Inclusion – Equity and knowledge of Cultural heritage.
We believe that the objectives coincide with the programm edactivities and the final tasks, since the dynamisation is pursued through a team work methodology and the elaboration of integrated and interdisciplinary didactic units, included in the educational Curriculum. Many subjects will collaborate in the project from the irrespective Areas: the Sociolinguistic Area from the knowledge of culture, history and society and the use of French and English to communicate and performtasks to
achieve the objectives. From the Artistic Area and with the collaboration of external entities, issues such as expressiveness, creativity, theater, audiovisual and cinematographic language will be addressed. Ethical values will be addressed from all of them. The final task will be the creation of documentaries and short films, about issues that occupy and concern young people and adolescents from 14 to 17 years old, and that will be exposed in a Final International Festival, to give it the widest possible dissemination and to have a great impact in local, provincial or regional spheres. All coordination work will be done through theeTwinning platform and the products that it generates in the form of documents, interviews, documentaries or short films will be posted in theMyTwinSpacesection.
In terms of impact and dissemination, we believe it will be very important because we have the experience, advice and collaboration of a number of LOCAL ENTITIES OR ASSOCIATIONS, which support the project from a technical and professional point of view, giving training work shops or talks, or helping in theorganization of the Festival. Different media have confirmed their support to cover the activities and report on the final products. The City Council will also collaborate with the transfer of facilities for major events.
Between February 2020 and April 2021, 4 mobilities of transnational learning, teaching or training activities are planned, with an exchange of 15 students and 2 teachers in each of them in the cities of El Puerto de Santa María and Skopje. The selection of the teaching staff will be made by the Management Committee and the Internationalization Committee and that of the students will be made by the Didactic Commission, based on the scale approved in the School Board in which the academic results in the Linguistic Areas, personal work and effort in the NLA and in the activities directly related to the project are evaluated. Each mobility will be evaluated through rubrics evaluated by the thre ecommissions cited and the results will be evaluated in terms of improving the methodological approaches and development of the key competences, which aim to be lasting in the life of the center and in its European Development Plan.
