Project Summary

The situation of women in today’s society is a reflection of structural inequality, which creates in the most vulnerable groups of the female gender levels of anxiety and stress very large, together with low self-esteem. In view of this situation, from Asociación Città di Roma Foundation, Cooperativa Andirivieni and D.A.D.A.A. we want to direct efforts to the implementation of music therapy we want to diren. In view of this situatia vunerable groups of the
activities with marked social value. That is why the target group of “MUSICFULNESS: HEAL THE SOUL” are the Women. At least 80 women from the three countries in different situations of risk of exclusion; victims of gender violence; single-parent family; disabled etc. They will directly benefit from the healing value of music, for their empowerment and the construction of a positive and balanced environment. Many more are those that, after the implementation of the project, thanks to its diffusion and impact, will benefit from the Innovative Music Therapy Technique, the star product of this project.
The main objectives of the Project “MUSICFULNESS: HEAL THE SOUL” are the following ones and they make reference to all the participants, both to the music therapists, as to the beneficiary entities and women:
• Develop and consolidate a new technique of Music Therapy applied to the specific target of Women victims of gender violence and / or at risk of social exclusion and/or of a single-parent family. In addition to the creation of a Music Therapy Tale in 4 languages.
• The personal growth of the users will be pursued, increasing their self-esteem as well as their capacity for resilience.
• The improvement of the quality of life and the creation of a stable, safe and positive environment.
• Empowerment and encourage greater independence.
• Psychophysical well-being through the improvement of levels of anxiety and distress.
The methodology implemented is active and participatory, pursuing the proactivity of the beneficiaries. There will be a first Experimental Phase in which the qualitative and quantitative data of the techniques are collected by previously selected by each of the entities. Through the comparison of the results, it can be seen that the techniques have a greater benefit and serve as a starting point for the Second Phase, in which the design of the Innovative Music Therapy Technique is carried out. This creation and design are carried out in close collaboration between all the professionals and, finally, throughout the second year, and it is applied to the implementation of the same through the intellectual products that are the tangible sample at European level. the successes achieved. and the evaluation of your results.
The Impact will be the creation of an international support network for women, as well as the creation of a specific technique to facilitate psychophysical, family and socio-labor well-being. The long-term benefits of this project can be measured in the personal changes that occur in the beneficiaries involved. At the same time, it will be visible in the tools and experiences of the entities directly involved in the implementation of the project. And finally in all the public and/or private institutions involved throughout the project, through the International Network of support for women through the technique of music and social work. All this is visible and tangible through the Dissemination Plan of all the results by the different communication channels and the dissemination and knowledge exchange platforms facilitated by the European Union.
