Project Summary

The aim of the project Smartphone and the Internet in Different Aspects of Life – SIDAL is to develop a new approach to improving digital competences at the adults – digital migrants, in particular seniors and people with disabilities, developing a methodology of development of the internet skills using smartphones, and applications that affect the quality and safety of life.

The project will be implemented in the partnership of the “Aktywni XXI” Foundation from Poland, E-seniors from France and Training 2000 from Italy, who have experience in using ITC in the education of adults, in particular in seniors’ age.
The project will include: two Short-term joint staff training events: ICT service for the improvement of the elderly and WEB 2.0 – a tool for learning, teaching and validation.
During these activities, partners exchange their experience in teaching the adults, there will be exchange of good practices and mutual improvement of digital competences of employees of partner organizations. The result will be an innovative methodology developed to improve the skills of seniors concerning the use of the Internet with the use of smartphones, and applications that affect the quality and safety of life, which will be described in the publication “Smartphone and the Internet in Different Aspects of Life”.
The publication will be a methodical guide for trainers and educators working with seniors. The project will also organize pilot workshops for seniors whose aim will be to verify the assumptions of the developed methodology described in the publication “Smartphone and the Internet in Different Aspects of Life”.
The implementation of the project will have an impact on the project participants, partner organizations and on the adult learners of the organizations participating in the project. Project participants will increase their digital literacy skills, gain a better understanding of clients’ needs in the field of lifelong learning and counseling in contemporary society, acquire skills to work in an international environment, enrich their cultural knowledge and increase their language skills
Partner organizations will enrich their offer of educational activities for seniors with new educational activities in the area of ICT.
Adults students will receive a new interesting educational offer in the form of modern training courses responding to their needs, thanks to the proposed new ICT training the threat of digital exclusion of seniors will be reduced.
The results of our project will be on the websites of partner organizations and will be placed on the results platform of the Erasmus + program. Thanks to this all interested parties will have access to them and will be able to use them. We will inform you that the results we produce are available while promoting the organization’s activities, during meetings with representatives of other organizations working in our environment, during activities in other projects and local media.
