Project Summary

The project moves from the fact that, even if in our schools we are trying to include modern teaching methods, we still perceive that for the majority the approach of students and teachers towards using ICT is something not concerned with learning. In our analysis this is connected to: fair of teachers in using ICT; lack of knowledge and self confidence of teachers; distance between teachers and students world; lack of knowledge of new jobs concerned to ICT; lack of awareness of the benefits of ICT for studying and developing entrepreneurial skills.
The aim of the project is to encourage students and teachers to use ICT effectively and appropriately in the learning and teaching process. We pretend to realize a training process with a learning by doing approach based on the Flipped classroom methodology, for pupils and teachers from Italy, Romania, Hungary, France and Spain. The project involves 500 students aged 16-18 plus 70 teachers of different subjects. The Flipped classroom is a blended learning strategy with the aim to improve student engagement and outcomes; the key purpose is to provide a greater focus on students’ application of conceptual knowledge. The role of technology is important in this methodology, because the growing accessibility of education technologies opens up increasing possibilities for students to explore, share and create content. The five meetings of the project (in each meeting there will be a short –term exchanges of students and short term joint staff trainings) will be developed working with the Flipped classroom approach and using/learning to use a different ICT in each country: robots, apps, educational platforms, digital creativity, films. The workshops are going to be organized by the students with teachers support. The teachers after the training will create Didactic units to be used in their schools, students will create video-tutorial for the different ICTs and promote workshops in their schools to train more pupils. A booklet on Didactic units, a booklet on how to use ICT for learning, spots to promote using ICT for learning will be realized and disseminated during the process. To strengthen the exchange of knowledge on use of ICTs between the partners and to elaborate on the new professions related with the new technologies, the project implements also 4 long term mobilities. At the end the teachers will have: acquired experience in using a new teaching method (Flipped classroom); acquired self confidence and learning how to use different ICT in the different subjects (apps, robots, educational platforms,..); made experience of the positive use of ICT in the learning process, The pupils will have: experienced a positive use of ICT in their learning process; acquired new skills I using ICT; discovered new jobs for the future.
