Project Summary

The current project has been prepared based on previous experiences in youth work, education and training field of the consortium and mainly on some partners’ unique expertise in terms of creating and leading a holistic environment bridging together education and youth sectors, labor market and public institutions and adapting to the global professional trends. Due to the innovative character of such expertise and the needs of like-minded actors, it became crucial that the Pan-European consortium of partners shares its best practices in a structured way, ensuring transfer of capitalized knowledge to other communities and therefore the achievement of higher quality of skills and competences for youth workers. By the ETEM project we will enhance the capacities of youth workers and youth work communities in general to positively influence and re-engage youth to take active position for their personal and professional development. Stepping on the entrepreneurship paradigm, we will aim to make one step further by motivating them to also consider their contribution to their own wellbeing. In addition our project will offer instruments and know-how on evaluating the specific needs of young people to be addressed in their training and will focus part of the training on raising young people self-awareness and self motivation for development. Entrepreneurship education is currently a powerful impetus across Europe and is becoming more and more visible, as a key prerequisite for equipping future generations with the right set of horizontal skills to be successful in professional life. The rising levels of unemployment and economic discrepancies open space for entrepreneurship as an alternative to profit-oriented lifestyle, but also as a source for sustainable solutions to emergent community issues. The ETEM project will offer a unique and highly attractive methodologies based on self-awareness and entrepreneurship methods and developed by leading organizations in the field. Not only that, but by the ETEM project we target to motivate, train and equip young people to create efficient jobs but not only to seek a job and thus to be cheaters of the future economic and organizational environment
