Project Summary

The consortium of the project “Continuous Improvement of the Evaluation of Employability – ASSESS – consists of 6 partners (training organizations, university, consultant in pedagogical engineering) representing 5 European countries (France, Austria, Spain, Romania and Sweden) who aim to promote social inclusion for low-educated and / or socially disadvantaged populations in order to improve their skills and know-how and to facilitate their access to the labor market.
In order to contribute to the professionalization of training staff and in accordance with the objectives of the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for VET providers (EQAVET) and to meet the needs underlined by professionals to improve assessment process and approach in the different programs and accompanying measures towards employment , the ASSESS partnership has developed a continuous evaluation approach for the evaluation of employability of the target groups and support procedures as well as tools facilitating its implementation in accordance with the objectives that they had fixed.
The ASSESS approach observed within the partnership as well as in the organization of intellectual outputs was based on the “Continuous Improvement Spiral” method used in the framework of Quality Management processes and is articulated just like the Deming Wheel (PDCA) around 4 phases (PDCA – Plan – Do – Check – Act).
As they committed themselves to and as advocated by the European Reference Framework for Quality in Education and Vocational Training – the partners involved all stakeholders, and in particular companies, throughout the development process of intellectual outputs through networking.
Thanks to the involvement and expertise of partners’ organisations and associated companies and institutions ASSESS project allowed the design and dissemination of the following results available in the languages of the partnership and in English:
-The synthesis report of the comparative analysis of programs and measures implemented in partner countries (EN) which has been used as a basis for other productions.
-The Reference Framework of Key Competencies for Employment and evaluation Indicators. This production has been developed from the design of a database of transversal competences expected for all jobs and specific competences directly linked and required for specific job profiles in five professional sectors: building, health and care, industry, sales and tourism.
– The ASSESS Guide and recommendations for improving the pathways towards employment.
-The on-line ASSESS evaluation tool focused on performance and importance indicators in correlation with the individual project of the person and the requirements of the company. This tool is available onlin at: assess-pro.eu
All the results of the ASSESS project are dedicated to the continuous improvement of employability of individuals in organizations.
Dissemination events in each of the partner countries have been organised and enabled partners to identify transfer opportunities that have been formalized and integrated in the ASSESS Guide in order to help new users to identify how they can use the material provided and possibly adapt it .These recommendations have been finalized and added to the Guide after experimentations feedback .
Final beneficiaries and target groups of ASSESS project are :
– Clients facing high difficulties in accessing the labor market
– organizations , trainers, job counselors who will increase their competences in assessing paths towards employment.
-Stakeholders and institutions in charge of training and employment policies that certify and control quality, relevance and efficiency of actions implemented.
– Companies that have and will adopt this approach for assessment of competences. They are willing using it for competence management in order to maintain their staff on employment especially the workers who have similar characteristics as ASSESS targets
