Project Summary

Undermining democratic decision-making, rising mistrust on the capacity of the economic, religion and political levels to solve societal challenges and lack of human rights education (HRE) activities can lead to to human conflicts and breaking the compass of societal norms and standards. As a consequence, there is a definite need to consider the role of Education for democratic and global citizenship and HRE with young people, youth workers and other stakeholders that through this consortium we want to bring out.Increasingly, the consortium of this project views HRE as a way to bring coherence to a fragmented and globalized world. Issues of gender equity, cultural diversity, interfaith dialogue, prevention of violence, elimination of stereotypes may all be approached from a HR perspective through the principles of respect, tolerance and recognition. Regarding that the project responds directly to needs of building capacity of partner organisation for using HRE on the local level and transferring existing tools and creating new one for promoting HR and Inter-religious dialogue. HRE must constantly evolve in order to respond to the changing needs and circumstances of today’s societies. Furthermore, it is not enough to simply educate youngsters on tolerance and non-violence as well as intercultural and iterfaith dialogue cannot be described as a best practice without being demonstrated and reinforced by educators, parents, the community and wider civil society. Only through a holistic and cooperative approach can HRE be truly effective in guaranteeing respect for the rights of all. For these reasons, the project also focuses on the planning and implementing different and effective CBAs at the local level in order to strengthen the capabilities of all partners and better promotion and protection of HR.We believe that creating new tools and games in HRE and discovering vary mechanisms, structures and policies for promotion of HRE will certainly raise the participants’ understanding of the concerted efforts undertaken in this field not only within the EU space.Objectives:1. To build capacities of the partner organization for planning and running activities related to Human Rights Education – HRE and interfaith dialogue2. To develop competences of youth workers, leaders and trainers needed for working in HRE and intercultural and inter-religious societies 3. To equip youth workers for HRE and train multipliers how to organize educational activities on local level4. To create new tools and manuals for HRE 5. Promote different positive and effective approaches of HRE in all partner countries and their realitiesTo working on promotion and recognition of youth work and NFE 6.
