Project Summary

Project GROW (PG) aims to strengthen 5 youth NGOs supporting young women across 2 EU countries (Italy and UK) and 3 SSA (Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa) countries and develop and disseminate knowledge and influence about the impact of youth work on young women and their effects on their civic engagement. This will be achieved through these OBJECTIVES:Four CAPACITY BUILDING activities reaching 100 youth workers and 10 NGO Board members across 5 countries and working with 1000 young people per yearOne youth mobility of Italian 13 young women with 13 Nigerian young women in Lagos.Five interactive, digital TOOLKITS designed to increase the capacity of young organisations working with young women in EU and AfricaFive dissemination events to reach 1000 people across the 5 countries and disseminating the project outputs (including the app) and learnings of the project. Dissemination will be targeting 100 NGO leaders, 600 youth workers as well as 300 policy makers in the 5 countries and across the EU using our existing networks.The outcomes of the project will be: 5 NGOs have created a network of youth organisations working with young women * 10 NGO Senior leaders increase understanding of Importance of youth work to support young women and increase knowledge, skills and resources to manage and grow their NGOs * 100 youth workers increase skills and knowledge of fundraising, volunteer management and basic monitoring of their work with young women. * 100 youth workers increase their knowledge of non formal methods of youth work to support disadvantaged girls in remote rural areas with few resources and the needs of migrants coming from these areas into Europe and cities in SSA countries. * 100 youth workers develop specific digital skills to improve their skills and create recognition for their learning* The network has created and disseminated to over 1000 stakeholders 5 Outputs that help Youth Organisations working with women to increase their capacity and be more efficient. * A free App is created with the involvement of youth workers to keep the outputs of the project, sustaining the learning and capacity of the NGOs and youth workers.
