Project Summary
The project was created to grow up competences of pupils and teachers in the field of learning, learning and teaching methods, cooperation, as well as increasing their awareness of ecology, modern technologies, participation and enterpreneurship and European citizenship. Being part of an international project means for all of the participating schools, pupils and staff to widen their ideas and knowledges, to gain new experiences and skills as well as the possibility to learn from each other. The European identity of all participants will strengthen thanks to taking part in international school exchanges, where teachers will learn through job shadowing during the exchange and pupils will learn while participating in classes. Thanks to this project the participants will develop competences and knowledge in the branch of foreign languages, economy, media, ICT and social sphere. The project called “Let’s learn together” will have several topics to deal with. The project will connect job shadowing (teachers will participate lessons during each of the mobilities) as well as cooperation among the pupils who will attend lessons as well and learn to know the school system of each of the partner countries. They also will present their coutries to the pupils of the partner schools and cooperate with the pupils. The participants will develope ICT skills, increase their language skills, social, cultural and ecological awareness and teamwork.
Participants should develop skills and competences in these areas by creating power-point presentations, quizzes, worksheets, questionnaires related to these topics and take part in workshops, discussions and excursions dealing with ecology and health. As a result, short videos will come into existence, describing how young people from 3 European countries deal with the specific topics. All project results will be presented in the project web-site, social medias and eTwinning. The eTwinning platform will also be used to publish the created materials and methodologies. The project
will involve participants (students and teachers from four partner schools and partner organisations) as well as indirect participants (local community, other students and pupils, local authorities, children and parents).
To achieve our objectives we will implement various approaches and introduce non-formal and experimental pedagogical methods. We will adapt a “hands on approach” (learning by doing) which will make learning more interesting and engaging for participants. Students will be taught how to
create their own worksheets and quizzes, organise public events, cultural events and workshops. Thanks to the visits of differents organisations and istitutions they will get acquainted with their work, meet and interview new people. The impact on the project participants and target groups includes enhancing their learning and teaching with new methodologies, activities and tools. Thanks to the real life experience students will gain new insides into their education and future possibilities, which will increase their confidence.
They will acquire new skills, develop new attitudes and be more interested in the world around them. At the international Learning/Teaching Activities (LTA) students will present all the work done about the topics, attend workshops and foreign businesses. They will work collaboratively in international
teams adapting personalised learning. The final products will be the methodology guidline, worksheets and durther educational materials, a learning platform with educational resources and samples of student work, presentations, videos, photos etc. The project results will be evaluated and disseminated asplanned in the project.
Long-term benefits of the project is the added value to students skills and the educational materials which will be avilable to public. Development of useful ICT skills and communication and language competences is another essential long-term benefit. All results and outcomes will be used to refresh, update and modify the school curricula to suit the needs of todays students growing up in the European background. This will lead to enhancing transnational cooperation and the dissemination of good practice. Last but not least realisation of learning mobilities, which will be commonly validated and recognised, represents an essential long-term benefit.
