Project Summary

The aim of our strategic partnership project is to contribute to the development of the quality of the European and national VET system, thus to the fulfillment of the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy.
By implementing this project our medium- and long-term goal is to contribute to the development of a cross-border, international VET and career guidance network. This networking is linked to the Danube Region Strategy in several priority areas.
We will summarize the good practices and experiences gathered during the project and disseminate them more widely beyond the partnership.
The partnership involves three countries, HU, SK and RO. All three partners’ aim to support the career guidance and labor market integration of young people, especially those in VET.
In order to achieve the above goals, the three partners have good practices and special experience, which includes tools and methods that are useful and transferable for the other members of the partnership.
– The experience of the Kilátó Center is related to the career guidance of young people studying in VET, and the results of cooperation with students and teachers working there can be utilized in other countries as well.
– TANDEM n.o. has developed and tested a complex program over many years that combine the areas of self-knowledge, career knowledge and career planning competencies. It does all this individually and with the tools of experiential learning.
– Caritas Alba Iulia has a strong and exemplary project experience in reaching, developing and supporting the integration of disadvantaged and NEET youth into the labor market.
Our goal is to get to know these good practices and the use of elements that can be integrated into the institutional system, the broadening of teacher practices at local level. The three areas complement each other well, as they offer a means to reach students and prevent them from dropping out of school (Caritas), conscious career choice (TANDEM) and process-based, individualized career planning competence development (Kilátó Center).
Our methodology utilizes an experience-based, tailor-made, process-based toolkit of experiential learning and cognition, fits in with labor market expectations and trends.
The project results a gap-filling international co-operation in the field of vocational education and training, within that career guidance in line with the priorities of the Danube Region Strategy.
The project is contributing to the quality development of the European and national vocational education and training system, thus to the fulfillment of the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy. We are looking for solutions to professional issues, new challenges and problems within the partner institutions. During the project, we will increase our international capacities by learning from each other, exchanging good practices, methods and ideas, and developing the career guidance competencies and knowledge of the involved VET teachers. At the regional level, the project contributes to better learning outcomes for students and the acquisition of relevant skills and competences.
4 international partner meetings (TPM) and 3 joint staff trainings (JST) will be implemented. By applying good practices, we will be better able to support the career planning and labor market integration of VET learners. A collection of good practices will be developed to support institutional adaptation and will be available to a wider public.
The project expands the partners’ methodological tools and international relations, and increases their professional recognition.
During the four partner meetings (TPM), 7-7 management staff members meet, and during the three joint staff training (JST) 18-18 professional staff members share their good practices and develop a collection of these best practices.
Due to the wide professional embeddedness and presence of the partner organizations, the utilization of the project is much higher, we transfer the lessons and good practices of the project to a number of vocational training institutions.
