Project Summary
In a society of information and communication, each student, a future citizen, needs to sharpen his/her critical faculties. The creation of a Webradio and the writing of on-line press articles will help our students to acquire these essential skills in the context of a European openness.
Both structures concerned by the exchange are secondary schools situated in Auvergne, in France and in Aosta Valley in Italy, two European territories with similar problems. Istituzione Eugenia Martinet and 26 students from Collège Audembron participated in this project around music and the media.
A meeting in Italy in March on the occasion of the Semaine de la Francophonie gave rise to a first show, and a meeting in May in France made it possible to present a second joint show.
Learning about European citizenship is an important issue within our territories. It shows students that the values of citizenship are not limited to the school itself or even to the national territory. TThe project was to concentrate on the media, the music and the French-speaking world within Europe by making programmes in French on shared themes. Throughout the year, media productions were produced by students from the two partner schools, and joint musical pieces were worked on by French (Cham-Chad) and Italian (orchestra class) musicians.
