Project Summary

“WE PROTECT EUROPE”

The project “WE PROTECT EUROPE” takes up to project called “TOGETHER TO EUROPEAN SOURCES”. We wanted to take part in an intercultural dialogue among the citizens of the EU. As an instrument of the mutual dialogue we have chosen the topic of protecting the natural treasure of Europe. Within the project we mapped the levels of protection of environment in all partner countries, focusing on the micro regions of the partner schools. We evaluated how the protection of environment is involved in the educational programmes of partner schools, which topics are cross-sectional and which are specific for particular partner schools. We enriched the educational programmes of all partner school due to cooperation on innovations and well-established procedures we gain during the project. The important feature of the projetc was promotion and realization of new modern trends in environmental education. Within the project activities we developed sport and hiking activities of students, as prevention to negative events. Project activities deepened the integration processes among the students with specific needs in population. Czech school prepared a visit to Krkonoše national park and organized a competitive exhibition of engaged posters, where a collective engaged poster “WE PROTECT EUROPE” was created. Slovakian school organized a geocaching competition and a visit to Malá Fatra national park. The school undertook electronic interactive presentations of protected areas of partner schools, focusing on national parks. The Polish school organized a project activity “Youths in Nature” involving a visit to Tatra National Park. The school undertook the collective electronic book about protected areas in the micro regions of particular partner schools. The objective groups of the project regarding local, regional, national and international levels are pupils, apprentices, students and educators (teachers and headteachers). An open access to all the materials created within the project is guaranteed. The outcomes of the project were exposed electronically. Each partner school created a link with websites called “WE PROTECT EUROPE” where the access to all the outcomes were presented.
