Project Summary

Czech, Slovak and Welsh youth group got into studying the life of a bee collective, looking for inspiring behavior and learn lessons for our own life and our communities. We have been exchanging our findings through the net and present it to our peers (blog, pictures, streaming video from the beehive).
All groups followed together a motivational training in Slovakia (june 2015), then spent a year studying and discussing the life of the bee collective and all partner groups have gather at the end of the project in Czech Republic to exchange experiences and present the results in summer 2016 (organizing a youth bee camp and sharing our experiences on schools).
Our target group: kids and youth with limited opportunities from our community.
The impact has been amplified by using non-formal learning methods and coaching.
The lasting result of the project was not brought by the project itself, but the magic of the nature and its mysteries that are attracting both the youth involved in the project and our communities as well. The network between the Czech, Welsh and Slovaks is solid and will continue in future projects. An organisation from Slovenia is willing to join our follow-up projects. The sustainability of the activities is guaranteed – bees are alive and our cameras are following their progress. The main output from the project is that bees are alike everywhere, the beekeeping is the same as well, only methods and some practices may be different. We have learned one from the other, creating a facebook group as a tool for sharing the findings and inspiration.
