Project Summary

The project “A Gamified Approach to Youth Entrepreneurship Education“ (AGATE) is a strategic partnership for entrepreneurhsip led by a consortium of four youth organisations: Youth Cooperation Centre of Dilijan NGO (Armenia), Society for Innovative Business Support (Belarus), NGO Youth Progress (Estonia) and Experimentáculo Associação Cultural (Portugal). The 24-months initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of youth organisations in the Eastern Partnership region in youth entrepreneurship education, especially using a gamified approach for incremental learning. Specific objectives of AGATE includes: 1. To qualify youth workers in gamified non-formal educational methods fostering entrepreneurial skills and competences of young people, thus increasing youth employability2. To develop entrepreneurial games to be used by formal and non-formal educational institutions to foster youth entrepreneurial competences in Europe and especially in the Eastern Partnership region3. To increase entrepreneurial competences of young people using a gaming approach to learning4. To promote a gamified approach to youth entrepreneurship education and stimulate international cooperation among youth organisations and other providers of youth entrepreneurship education from the Eastern Partnership region and from the EU The AGATE project features international mobilities and local capacity-building activities, for instance:- An international training course for youth workers about youth entrepreneurship education and gaming for learning- The development of board games fostering entrepreneurship competences, and the publication and dissemination of the games on an online platform – Piloting of the AGATE games with youth workers over an international training course in Setubal and with young people over a youth exchange – A social media campaign to promote a gamified approach in education and most specifically the AGATE games to foster entrepreneurial competences- Local workshops on entrepreneurial competences for youth in Armenia and in Belarus- A Partnership-Building Activity gathering youth workers and other educational stakeholders to build partnerships and cooperation in entrepreneurship education- A Training of Trainers to qualify youth trainers in using gamification tools in youth entrepreneurship education- A large-scale multi-stakeholder conference “Games for Learning” to promote and advocate for gaming in entrepreneurship educationThe strategic partnership for entrepreneurship “AGATE” explores a gamified approach to youth entrepreneurship education especially targeted at youth residing in rural or urban deprived areas.
