Project Summary
The project has three major emphasis:
• The importance of living in harmony with each other in mutual respect
• “Women deserves more.“
• Male education for women rights
— Violence against women is a violation of human rights based on gender discrimination. Violence against women is a violation of the right to life, security, dignity, freedom and physical integrity of women because they are women.
— We will mention about how the women were placed in the past in terms of different societies and by defining the present, we will have the chance to demonstrate what have changed throughout the history. We aim to give woman the value they deserved but they could not get. Every society has women leading their civilization or economic and democratic progress, and we would like everyone to see them as we do, as “a secret hero“.
–We aim to draw attention to the fact that discrimination against women is not only a problem towards the discriminated groups but also a problem for the whole society.
–In order to eliminate the negative role attributed to women, we aim to create awareness that it is not enough to educate women only, and those men should be made conscious. We aim to achieve those goals.
–In our project, It is intended to show that despite the increase in human rights and freedoms, women still have a problem of social, political and economic exclusion in spite of the increase in the level of education and the participation of women into worklife.
–Together with the social projects, we plan to implement, students, teachers, parents and local organizations who come together for the issues such as violence against women, discrimination and gender inequality, will draw attention to the problems of the project’s targets by making studies and campaigns within the scope of the project and will develop solutions.
— Meeting periods of partners will be planned based on the special days of women. During the process, interviewing to measure citizens awareness about the issue, creating a digital platform and posters in twenty different language, short movies, seminars, foundation visits, establishment of library for women prisoners are the activities we’re planning to carry out. Through activities such as essays, storytelling and news writing, we will realize how women have shaped our world from past to present. At the same time, all the activities we are to apply throughout the project will add responsibility to the groups participating in the project.
–At the end of the process, we aim to be aware of the fact that women should first benefit from all human rights as a human being in all conditions, environment, situation and opportunity.
–Students, teachers, student parents, all school staff, local organizations, local environment, national agencies and education ministries of each partner school are included in the project. As preparing a magazine about the issue, creating digital platforms accessible to public, anyone who wants to work on issues such as women from past to present, violence against women, gender inequality and discrimination are potential users of the project results.
