Project Summary
ActUp! arises as a joint action among 7 professionals’ organizations coming from 5 different countries, working specifically in the field of sexual exploitation and human trafficking evaluating the importance of acting urgently in the field of prevention for youth.In line with the priorities of the present programme, ActUp! aims at:▪ Improving the quality, the professionalism and the competences of youth organizations and youth workers in prevention and resilience’ techniques addressing youth on sexual exploitation and trafficking by exploiting the technical professionalism of an international networks and its perspectives▪ Exploring the role of ICT in human trafficking and sexual exploitation and promote the strategic use of ICT for youth organizations campaigning and prevention facilitating vulnerable youth access to information ▪ Facilitating the use and dissemination of innovative techniques and professional’ tools via OER in EN, FR, ES, IT, and peer learning education ▪ Promoting strategic cross-border cooperation and networking between youth organizations, private and public sector▪ Facilitate the internationalization of techniques and cooperation of youth organization Outputs: IO1 ActUp! Sexual exploitation and Trafficking Tool-Kit prevention (led by MdN) The different training modules are integrated in this final T-Kit:- Youth and Sexual Exploitation Module- Trafficking Module- Internal Trafficking Module- Sexual exploitation and Mines Modules- National and EU Fact sheetsIO2 ActUp! Campaign (led by Bee.com) to raise awareness on the risks and the different aspects of sexual exploitation affecting youth and in particular vulnerable young women. IO3 ActUp! Recommendation cards (led by Comisión Unidos Vs Trata) to capitalise the experiences and knowledge of each partner by proposing a list of recommendations to the decision-makers in order to better prevent the phenomena among youth, especially those in vulnerable situations and based on the Fact SheetsIO4 ActUp! Informal Network (led by NoGap) to foster the development of a structured network composed by the partners of the ActUp project as well as local organizations and institutions from the partners’ countries involved in the project activities and continue the strategy beyond the project.Activities: – Coordination meetings among partners – Trainings for youth workers in France, Argentina, Mexico and Guyana – Multiplier events in each country: the ActUp! Day and the Launching of the ActUp! Campaigns- Final event in Martinique ActUp! matches with the Anti-trafficking directive of the EU acknowledging the role of civil society and encouraging Member States to work closely with civil society organisations, working with trafficked persons, in particular in policy making initiatives, awareness-raising campaigns, research and education programmes and in training. The project will directly involve 20 youth workers, 70 stakeholders and 140 vulnerable youth.
