Project Summary

The project addresses the major subject of human rights, the violation of which, to a lesser or greater extent, is an everyday occurrence in most societies all over the world. Under the umbrella term of ‘human rights’ we will explore and discuss the concepts of rights and obligations, cultural diversity, and discrimination, stereotypes and prejudice, immigration and, bullying and education of values. Through this project we believe that our students will develop respect towards diverse races, cultures, beliefs and lifestyles and resist the urge to discriminate against people who deviate from the norm- as each society perceives it to be.
The main objective of the partnership is help participants become aware of their identity in the context of cultural plurality in Europe and shape positive behavioral patterns towards multiculturalism so that all people coexist harmoniously enjoying their rights and honoring their obligations.
We also aim:
-to raise our pupils ‘awareness towards the values of tolerance, open-mindedness to the other,
-to fight against all forms of social and ethnic discrimination (including a study of the stereotypes) and exclusion;
-to get Ss familiar with the terms ‘rights’ and ‘obligations’ on a national and European level
-to raise awareness about immigrants, children, women, disabled people and the elderly are among the victims of discrimination and human rights violation
-to improve their native and foreign language skills and use them effectively to support their views
-to improve their IT skills as technology is a basic tool in the project
The project has been created by the negotiation and agreement of all partners. The partners from Turkey, Spain, Latvia, Italy, and Portugal are chosen among several schools from different countries all over Europe.
We have different activities and expected results such as: LECTURE about Constitutional Rights and obligations and about Rights and Obligations as stated in
